A Happy Ending?

Chapter 1

      Today I told myself I would do it. With one jump all the pain I've previously endured would be gone.

       I gaze at my reflection in the water below. My unruly black hair flowing in the wind. I look deeper at my reflection. Am I really about to do this?

     I look up at the melancholy sky. Dark hues liter the clouds as rain begins to pour down.

I'm cold.

I'm wet.

I'm sad.

     "Hello." I hear a young girls voice beside me.

     I turn to my right and I see a teenage girl about my age. She's in a classic school uniform and has long draping honey blonde hair. Her green eyes look lifeless and her skin is pale.

     "Why are you on the bridge when it's storming? It's dangerous you know." The young girl speaks to me in a monotone voice.

     "I want to die." I say being truthful to her. It's not as if anything matters anymore. She looks at me with her facial features not changing. Is she heartless?

     "Why?" She says still in that weird monotoned voice. A chilly gust of wind blows by as I refuse to answer her. "Why?" She repeats herself making me a little irritated.

     "It doesn't matter the reason anymore. I just want to." I shove my cold hands into my hoodie pocket.

     "You know she wouldn't want you to suffer like this." The girl gazes at me with those lifeless eyes.

     "What?" Who is this girl even talking about?

     "She killed herself didn't she? It was because of you right?" My heart stopped as another chilly gust of wind blows by. "Her name was Clementine right?" I stumble back onto the railing of the bridge.

     "How do you know Clementine?" I asked backing away from the strange looking girl.

     "Let's just say I'm a friend of Clementine's. Why didn't you do anything?" I look at her with wide eyes.

     "I was scared! I'm a coward." I try to calm my nerves by breathing slowly. The icy breeze stung my lungs.

     "Your cowardly actions killed her. Now you want to kill yourself? You do like giving up." She says in a spite tone of voice.

"If I could redo time I would! I can't change her fate anymore! She's dead!" I climb up on the bridge railing.

"You avoided the signs. If you want to jump do it, but let me ask you this. If you could rewind time, would you save her?"

"I would." With that I smile and fall backwards crashing into the ice cold water.

Everything is blurry.

I feel nothing.

Is this death?

I feel my body being pulled by the oceans current. I'm going deeper and deeper into the sea.

I can't breathe.

It hurts.

I close my eyes and suddenly I feel my body begin to shake.

"Wake up Zenny. Wake up!" I hear a familiar voice. "You don't want to miss the schools fair today." I open my eyes slightly and see my mom.

"Mom? What's going on?" I sit up and look at my surroundings. I'm in my room. "Am I dead?"

"Dead?" She looks at me worriedly. "No dear."

What is going on?
