Zayn's P.O.V

Fourteen. Fourteen horrifying, pain filled hours of looking. Brianna managed to get a track on Josh. He was slick and quick to get Allison but everything after was a mess and rushed. He left branches torn, trees scraped, even skid marks on some parts of the grass. Most of all, he did nothing to hide Allison's scent. When I marked her she became a part of me, to have her ripped away from me so abruptly, it was like someone cutting me in half and throwing one half away. It was that feeling that I was using to help find her.

I would run ahead in any direction Brianna would point in and make sure her scent was there. With each stop we made I felt my heart pang and I knew we were getting closer.

"Bri, how much longer." Niall whined throwing his head back.

"My legs are going to fall off and run away." Louis cried leaning on Niall's shoulder sending them both stumbling to the side.

"You're both such girls." Brianna rolled her eyes walking ahead of me a couple steps.

If it wasnt for her I honestly think I would've lost myself completely. Her sarcasm, her calmness in a situation. It's exactly what I needed in a situation like this.

"It's getting harder to track Josh. The grass gets thinner the farther we go in this direction and the woods are getting less dense." She muttered kneeling down and taking a quick look at the grass before standing up again.

"Then we follow Josh as long as we can, once we can't anymore ill follow Allison's scent." I looked over at her then the rest of the boys.

"The woods are getting less dense mate, her scent is going to fade too. Whether it fades with the wind or it fades with distance." Liam sighed looking around catching her scent as well.

We all knew it was slowly but surely growing weaker. Before I could smell we perfume, her shampoo, even the soap she used. Now I'm lucky if I even catch a hint of anything.

"I don't care, we follow everything we can for as long as we can." I gave him a stern look that stopped him from saying whatever he planned on.

"Where now?" I looked back to Brianna who simply nodded a little more to the left.

With that I was gone. I ran off in that direction and stopped a couple seconds later. I looked back to see the boys and Brianna looking like small specks but they would catch on soon enough.

I pulled my phone out of my pocket and stared at my screen. The background was a picture of me and Allison. She was asleep with her head on my chest and I couldn't help it, I leaned down pressed my lips against her temple and snapped a quick picture. It's been my favorite picture ever since. The way she looked so carefree and happy when she slept, like nothing could disturb her.

Nothing stays like that for long.

"Zayn, are you alright?" I heard Harry's voice behind me. I hadn't even realized I was crying and that there were now tears sliding down the glass screen on my phone.

"We'll find her. Don't worry." He came up rubbing his hand against the back of my neck slowly cupping his hand over the screen.

"I know we will. I just.." I sighed looking up at him meeting his eyes for the first time since I saw she was gone. I hadn't looked anyone in the eyes. I just want to look into hers.

"I don't know what they're doing to her. I don't know if shes okay. I don't know if shes hurt, I don't know if she needs me, I don't know anything." I whispered closing my eyes avoiding the sorry look I knew he was giving me.

"Shes going to be fine mate, I promise you she will." He spoke firmly before pulling me forward with the hand he had behind my neck into his arms.

"I know she will." I nodded softly against his neck before pulling away ruffling his curls quickly.
