Chapter One

He didn't mean to hurt me, he was just trying to teach me a lesson, because he loved me. I knew that Nash needed to have a perfect girlfriend. He is perfect, so shouldn't his girlfriend also be perfect. And I was, I was a straight A student, perfect body, perfect everything. Then I got a scholarship to my dream college, Stanford, and it was a choice between my grades and my body. I chose my grades, my education was more important to me than my body, and I thought that Nash would also be okay with that. He loves me, why wouldn't he respect my choice to be at my dream school, and close to him. He wasn't.

"Rose why do you have so many shopping bags" Max asked.

"I needed new clothes." I replied.

"What do you mean, don't your old clothes fit?"

"No, I've gained some weight I thought that you knew."

"I thought so" he sighed "I thought that you were going to lose it."

"Why would I do that?"

"Because you're supposed to be mine, and things that are mine are perfect" and with that he moved forward and grabbed my arm.

"Nash, you're scaring me" I said as I tried to get him to let go of my arm.

"I don't care, you are my perfect girl, and you will stay that way if you love me".

A chill ran down my spine when he said that. I knew that he was slightly obsessed with perfection especially when it came to me. I brushed it off, thinking it was cute that he thinks that I'm perfect. I never expected it to go this far.

"Max,babe, I'm not perfect, nobody is" I said hoping that it would make him let go of my arm.

"Who are you to speak to me like that" he yelled tightening his grip on my arm.

"You girlfriend, now let me go, you're hurting me!" I yelled hoping to go away and let him cool down. Max let go of me, and I turned away going to the front door. He grabbed my arm, turned me around and backhanded me so hard that I fell on the ground. Then he left. I sat on the ground stunned that he would do that to me. But he loved me, so it was okay.

A/N: This is my first story. I also would like to say that the relationship between Rose and Max is not healthy, even if Rose won't admit it. If you are ever in a relationship like this please get help. I will try to update every week.
