About two days had passed since you gave Bill your permission to read your mind. You really, really, really hated the idea that a guy was reading your every thought every single second of the day. He would keep smirking at you and snickering randomly. It really made you uncomfortable.
One day, while you were helping restock the shelves, he actually volunteered to help you with the boxes. You hated to accept his offer, but the boxes were really heavy and you just couldn't do it all on your own. So, you said yes and he helped unload the boxes from the truck from out back. What you didn't expect, however, was to walk back from restocking shelves to find him shirtless.
You blushed. I mean, any human being would right? It's like in their nature! His response was only logical (according to him), and that was to walk straight over to you and smirk.
"The heat was getting to me! I had to do something!" He had said, obviously joking. You blushed even harder. But, why?!
"It's fifty degrees out here!" You had yelled, pointing to your jacket for effect. He only laughed and ruffled your hair, making you huff in annoyance.
And that was only one day! You couldn't imagine what it would be like for... However long he was gonna be there. You hoped it wasn't long.
However, another day passed, and then a week, month, four months... He wasn't leaving. And, the more days that passed, the more Bill seemed to read your thoughts. You didn't like it one bit. He'd keep smirking and poking at your sides. You honestly thought he was just doing this to piss you off. Until, the day came where is all surfaced.
You were just about to check with Stan to make sure you could head out to your apartment, however, a certain someone got in your path.
Bill walked up to you and tipped his hat. Now that you thought about it, you've never see him in regular clothes; it's always his suit.
"Where art thou going, dear?" Bill asked, over exaggerating the whole phrase. You rolled your eyes and stuck your tongue out at him.
"I'm not your 'dear'," You hissed, looking pass him to see if Stan was still in his office. He was.
"Oh pish posh. So, where ya headin' after work?" He asked, blocking your view of Stan.
"Why do you wanna know?" You pushed him out of your way so you could get to Stan. You checked with him and got out of there as fast as you could. Of course, Bill followed.
"Go away, triangle," You scoffed, walking faster. Bill only floated faster than you so he was next to you. You tried to walk faster than before, but he just caught up with you again.
"I'll ask again; where are you going after work?" Bill repeated, smiling like a madman. You just wanted him to go away so you told him.
"I'm just going to my apartment. Now, will you leave me alone for just one night?" You begged. Bill shook his head, making you groan in response.
"I'm gonna visit you for the night! Can I crash at your place?" Bill asked, sounding like an actual human being.
"N-" You started.
"Great! Thanks, Firecracker!" Bill snapped and he suddenly had some else on besides his suit and sleek shoes. He wore a yellow (no surprise there) sweatshirt with a triangle on the front and jeans with holes all over the place. He looked human... Besides the whole eyepatch thing. And the top hat. And the... Okay not entirely human.
"I hate you..." You hissed, walking up to your apartment door and almost speed walking in.
Bill shook his head, "That's not what your thoughts say!"
