MC transmigrated into the body of a fool, he fell down to river and died and MC came. The name was Zhu Yan, his grandmother loved this grandson eventhough he was a fool. His father made MC's mother died indirectly. He was angry for his wife to birth such fool and was persuaded by his mistress but then the grandmother was angry and just kicked him out of the house and of the family. She was a fair grandmother eventhough she favored MC and everybody in the family including the grandfather and the first son listened to her.

ML was from different village, his name was Yuan Xiao and he was abused by his family because he was a ger. He was bought by MC's mother when his parents wanted to sell him. MC's mother saw the whole thing, how ML as a child screamed, and hugged the tree until his nail chipped off because he didnt want to get sold to such dead place. MC mother bought him as a bride child for MC and since then Yuan XIao stayed in the Zhu family and everybody treated him nicely.

The Zhu family structure was of grandmother, grandfather, 1st son (MC's father was 2nd son) with his wife and two children (a son and a daughter), MC and ML, and later the cousin's husbsnd (also ML's friend). They were tofu maker, and the males sold the tofu but not opening a stall more like travelling sales, door to door kinda, so everyday they would go out to sell and the rest worked on the fields. Grandmother was the one to make decision in the family, and she alw listened to Zhu Yan. Troubles ad friction came from Yuan Xiao's parents, and Zhu Yan stupid father and his mistress that gave him a son and rival business.

Zhu Yan got a golden finger, a miracle spring water (the usual kind) from a jade his (this world) mother bought for him that melted into his palm and went to his body. He used this to water the crops and to cook. After he used the water, the tofu tasted better and he could sell them to a restaurant and made an agreement to supply the store, also he sold recipe that used tofu as its base. Then, he opened a stall and together they sold all kinds of food made from tofu. He made an acquaintance with a yamen soldier and his lover, and it made things easier if not they'd get bother by local thugs. After acquiring store in town, all the family moved to town and started to live there and come back occasionaly to deal with fields.
I dont really understand how'd they decide to live in the town permanently, at first I thought because it was autumn winter and there no work in the fields.

Yuan Xiao as ger with such fate was not a timid person. After being rescued by MC's mother, he did try to help the Original, and with MC's there he made up his mind not to let anyone hurt Zhu Yan and to cut off those who wanted to steal Zhu Yan. Yuan Xiao was someone that held grudge and would do schemes to repay those who wrong him and MC. It made MC headched when he knew lol and tried to help if not he worried if something went wrong.

They didnt interact much with the villagers or the others. And it's a bit disappointing how the author didnot utilize the family aside from grandma. I even thought there was no grandfather lol for his scene was so minimized to the point of invisible XD

The story was more of how MC and ML tried to research all kinds of food with soybeans as the main ingredients because MC didnot dangle his knowledge but hide it with reason of 'lets researching together' and do business with his family.
