A champion reunion

It was an hour after the Drednaw incident. Leon had called the two after he had a battle with another trainer and said to meet him by the scone shop.
Sonia:Where is he?
Y/n:Probably lost. You know how easily he gets lost. He is probably rushing here on Charizard in 3. 2. 1.
Just as he finished a powerful looking Charizard lands on the ground. His trainer gets off, revealed to be Leon as the champion recalls his partner and runs up to his friends. When he arrives the three of them share a three way hug.
Leon:Sorry I am late guys.
Y/n:Not gonna lie it was kind of expected.
Sonia:Yeah.
The monarch sweat drops at this as he changes the topic.
Leon:So Y/n, are you participating in the world coronation series?
Y/n:Yeah, I am already in the ultra class. I am currently ranked 45.
Leon:Woah. Such a leap in such a short amount of time.
Sonia:He has been battling non stop.
Y/n:Well I have to in order to make my way to the masters 8.
Leon:Speaking about the master 8, part of the reason I wanted to meet up again was because.
He holds a poke all to Y/n's face.
Leon:I want to have another battle with you.
Y/n smirks as he holds a pokeball, meeting Leon's challenge with similar passion. After about 3 minutes Sonia is seen in the stands as Leon and Y/n are in the stadium.
Ref:Another monarch battle. I am honored to be the referee.
Y/n:Thanks.
Leon:I hope you have been training hard. Because me and Charizard have been training especially for another battle with you and Snorlax!
Y/n:Well, why are we just standing here! Let's out our pokemon do the talking!
They both hold out a pokeball and quickly send out their aces Charizard and Snorlax. The two massive pokemon smirk at the chance to battle once again.
Ref:This will be a one on one battle which will be over once either side's pokemon is unable to battle. Battle begin!
Leon:Flamethrower!
Y/n:Heavy slam!
Snorlax glows silver as Charizard let's out a torrent of flames that engulf the massive behemoth but Snorlax quickly spins like he is using rapid spin and flies out of the flame and slams into Charizard, looking like he didn't get hit by flamethrower.
Leon:What's going on? That should have done more damage!
Sonia:Hold on. It can't be.
Y/n:Yep. Just as you are probably thinking. We went to the isle of armor and did a lot of training where we acquired and ability capsule. Before Snorlax's ability was immunity but now it is thick fat.
Leon:Damn. Then use air slash!
Charizard sends Blades if air that soar toward Snorlax.
Y/n:Did you hit learn from the flamethrower? Again!
Once more Snorlax spins and weaves in between the air slash and slams into Charizard once more.
Y/n:We trained so that Munch can nullify your advantage in the air and take away your range.
Leon:Then use thunder punch!
Y/n:Curse!
Charizard's fist is covered in crackling electricity as the dragon flies towards his large opponent. In opposition  Snorlax lakes back as hit body is coated in a purple aura as his movements are slower but he becomes bulkier and stronger. This increase of bulk allows Snorlax to cushion the impact of Charizard's thunder punch. The dragon tries to retract his fist but it is stuck in the far of Snorlax's stomach.
Leon:Charizard use thunder punch, maximum output!
Surging thunder envelops Snorlax as the bear grunts in pain and belly flops Charizard off.
Y/n:Body slam!
Leon:Flamethrower!
The two moves clash but as shown from his display of heavy slam  Munch Pierce's through the flames with little problem and slams into Charizard. However, it came at a cost as Snorlax falls to his knees and a pillar of fire enveloped Snorlax.
Y/n:A burn?
Leon:Fire spin!
Charizard sends a weaker burst of flames that surrounds Snorlax as the flames spiral into a large tornado of hit flames.
Y/n:Trying to eat away at our endurance? I don't think so. Use heavy slam!
Just as he has done before, Snorlax spins out of control and breaks through the flames but when he collides with Charizard the attack is much weaker as a result of the burn status. Another pillar of flames sprouts from Snorlax as he grunts in discomfort.
Leon:Thunder punch!
Charizard then unleashes a volley of thunder punches onto Snorlax as the large normal embraces each strike.
Y/n:Body slam!
Snorlax leans forward and Charizard with little space to move is crushed by the weight of Snorlax. However, moments later a large spark of electricity sends Snorlax flying off. It is a rough landing but Snorlax is just about able to get back up.
Y/n:It's time for the end game Leon.
He then returned his partner as Leon grins.
Leon:And that means, it's time for a champion time!
He returns his pokemon as well as Sonia has a look of nostalgia.
Sonia:Just like 10 years ago.
Y/n/Leon:Gigantanax!
They then lobb their balls as the gigantanax versions of their pokemon come out.
Leon:Use max airstream!
Y/n:Max guard!
Charizard blows a huge Hurricane at Snorlax as the sleeping pokemon raises a huge barrier to block the attack. A much larger pillar of fire engulfed Snorlax as the burn continues to eat away at his health.
Leon:Max lightning!
Y/n:Max steel spike!
Charizard roars into the sky as a bolt if thunder descended down towards the battlefield. At the same time Snorlax sent jumped up and then came crashing down as metallic spikes burst from the ground and travel across. Both attacks land with the max steel spike stabbing into Charizard's stomach and max lightning crashing into Snorlax. Another burn burst forth and hurts Snorlax.
Leon:Gmax wildfire!
Y/n:Gmax Replenish!
The two attacks collide with their targets as a burst of energy erupts from the ground, enveloping the champion's ace which earns a loud roar of pain as the dragon returns to normal size. For Snorlax, he is wrapped in a whirlwind of fire as the Phoenix manifestation circles around and causes more damage in tandem with the burn and now the residual damage. As he returns to normal it is clear that one more attack will finish off Snorlax and Leon knows this well.
Leon:Time to end this. Thunder punch!
Charizard goes in for the finishing blow as Snorlax braces for the impact.
Y/n:Heavy slam!
The belly if the beast glows silver as try sound of crackling thunder clashing with heavy metal is heard throughout the stadium and a large explosion engulfed the battlefield. When the dust clear, to the shock if nobody Snorlax is unconscious but what shocked everyone was that Charizard had also fainted.
Ref:Both pokemon are unable to battle, which means this battle is a draw.
After both pokemon are recalled the three friends are seen bidding farewell.
Leon:The next time we battle.
Y/n:It will be in the masters 8.
They clasp hands in a brotherly handshake and Leon walks off.
Sonia:Babe, you were so close.
Y/n:I know. But next time, I will win.
