warnings: fighting, demoralizing words.

swedish is italszied.

also there is a text conversation that is referenced, it'll be covered in two chapters. it was from the night of the game, when eric asked about cale.

may 19th,  two weeks before the eastern conference finals.

jasmine and eric walked hand in hand to the dinner that ej was throwing with donna, celebrating their engagement. ever since jasmine had come back to denver from toronto, she had been slowly getting back to her usual self.

constant training, writing, and prepping for school again. after taking a week off, she was back to the usual grind and figuring things out. she had spent much time with eric, usually staying at his apartment for days at a time before venturing back to her brother's house. they had been dating for a little over a month and things were moving quickly on his side, but she was still unsure.

shore, she loved how he called her 'his girl' or 'my girl'. or how she was the only girl in his life and made sure she knew that day in and day out. she wanted to be his girl all day, every day but again, still had one foot out.

she was though, slowly moving on from cale. him and tracey seemed to not be ending like the better halves had originally thought. after tracey found out about the two, yeah she gave him hell. but in her words, "history matters, and we have that. that's what matters." jasmine had chuckled and rolled her eyes at her text that she sent to mel, and brushed it aside before going to dinner with eric when the team was out of town.

jasmine told mel that she needed to do her job as captains wife and pull all of them together, and that she would stay true to her word. shed stay out of the way.

she'd go to games with eric and their friends, and would hang out with the wags if they were over at the house. but obviously, keep her distance from tracey.

bee and natasha were god-sent and bridged the gap in the group. always trying to include jasmine in everything, but respected her decision when she didn't want to be there. more often than not.

tracey saw and realized that they'd never have a relationship, that they'd probably never speak to one another.

she was fine with that, jasmine was more okay with that.

cale was irritated that it had gotten to this point, but understood. his feelings were still there for jasmine, unfortunately, and having the whole situation with her parents ignited them more.
