It was a big night at Steve Harrington's house. This is where Dustin Henderson had decided he was gonna hold a big Dungeons and Dragons campaign with The Hellfire Club, cause they supposably had "Nowhere else to go." Steve walked around getting bowls of snacks and drinks ready for the campaign. He cleared off the dining room table and got extra chairs for all of them to be able to play, considering there was only 1 chair there at the moment. Steve's parents didn't visit much at all, meaning he was always there alone, so why leave the other chairs to mope around and feel sad, and lonely about?

He put the snacks on a little wooden foldable table he had and sat down on the couch, everything being finished. Being honest, he was worried. Eddie "The freak" Munson would be here tonight. In his home. He wasn't afraid he was gonna steal anything, granted, his parents are pretty wealthy, but he doubted Eddie would do something like that. He was just worried because he was a pretty intimidating guy. He didn't want to believe him out of all people would be scared of Eddie Munson, but it's true.

He was also worried because ever since Nancy and him broke up, he seemed to get flustered or something anytime the two made eye contact. He didn't know why but Eddie made him feel a certain way but he just couldn't describe it. He had talked to Robin before about this while at work and she got excited about him possibly being a baby gay or something? He had forgot with all her lesbian rambling. He sat there, head in hands for a while, he hadn't even noticed there was a knock on the door. Next thing you know, Dustin's throwing the door open yelling at Steve about answering the door. He stopped once he saw Steve looked a little.. off?

"Yo Steve, you good??" Dustin asked walking over and sitting next to Steve, wrapping ana rn around him, obviously looking a little tense.

"Y.. Yeah, I'm fine Henderson, just go help your club get set up." He shooed him away as Mike, Lucas, and Will all walk over to the table, making themselves at home while Dustin joins them in setting up, leaving Eddie at the door.

Steve and Eddie look at each other for a bit, having awkward prolonged eye contact. "You can come in Munson, I'm not gonna bite-" He says with a soft chuckle. Eddie smiles a bit as he walks inside and closes the door. "Nice house Harrington." He said, not even really looking at him, just automatically walking to the table where everyone else was. "Oh! Uh.. thank you?" He said slightly confused, following Munson with his eyes and head. Next thing you know the campaign has started and they're in their own little world. Steves peeking over the back of the couch at the group of 5 playing their geeky little game, not having a clue of what's going on.

There's a lot of screaming and yelling, laughing and slamming on the table. Steve starts to get a headache and closes his eyes for a bit, drowning them out with his own thoughts, eventually dozing off and falling down onto the couch, the group not noticing a thing.

( The pov is still in 3rd but more on Eddie's perspective since Steve is asleep)

The group took a break in the campaign, as everyone seemed to have to stretch out or pee. Eddie got up to stretch and look around and realized he hadn't seen Harrington in a bit. He looked up the steps, his door was still open, then looked in the living room and saw him asleep on the couch. Seeing how peaceful he was was oddly cute to Eddie, he smiled for a second, taking in how adorable he looked curled up, a blush creeping up onto his cheeks, he shook his head and went to go find a blanket for him. He opened a closet and found an giant thing of blankets, grabbed one and put it on Steve, rubbing his back slightly, Steve moving into the sudden touch and smiling.

He quickly pulled his hand back blushing, walking back to the table seeing Will give him a sly cheeky grin. "Oh shut up bowl cut-" giving a slight laugh as he said it. Then the rest of the gang came back and they finished the DnD campaign, winning. They all hugged and laughed and started to pack their stuff up. Lucas, Mike, Will, and Dustin all left, leaving Eddie behind with Steve. He didn't really have a way back, considering Will's mom drove him here and she didn't have time to run him back to the trailer park before going back home, so he had to get a ride from Steve. Dustin closed the door with a loud bang, running out to his friends, making Steve jump a bit and stir awake.

Eddie walked over to the couch crossing his arms and standing over top of Steve. "Well good morning sweetheart. How'd ya sleep?" Steve blushed a little bit at the name. "U- Uh.. fine-???" He said, his voice raspy and deep, deeper than normal. Eddie blushed at how he sounded and turned away. "Hey, uhm. Could you maybe give me a ride back to my place.. I don't have a ride and don't know how to walk home from here." Steve sighed and sat up stretching "Sure. Why didn't you ask when you got here?" He questioned, a little bit annoyed and also confused on how he got a blanket. "I was a little nervous to talk to you. I know you were a dick before, earlier in highschool, so I couldn't tell if you were the same, but Dustin told me about you so.. Not as afraid anymore.. heheh." Eddie said with a nervous chuckle. "Wait wait wait.. you were scared of me??" He stood up to face Eddie being slightly taller than the older boy crossing his arms. "Yeah? What, are you scared of me or some shit?" Steve just kinda stayed quiet. Eventually blurting out, "L- Let's just go. We should get you home." Pushing past Eddie to get to his keys.

Eddie stood there, shocked at how Steve could have ever been scared of him. He stayed silent and followed Steve to his car. Telling him where he lived.
The ride was mostly silent. It was almost unbearable for Eddie to handle. He had to make some type of conversation. "Ya know, you don't have to be scared of me. I'm not a scary dude. I mean sure, I look like it. But I'm just fuckin goofy, man." He said slightly chuckling. Steve laughed, "I can tell that now, but your demeanor is normally just so serious, it's intimidating." They kept chatting and laughing for a bit. Until they pulled up In front of his uncle's trailer. "Thanks for the ride Harrington," Eddie said, reaching for the handle. Steve grabbed his wrist to restrain him from getting out of the car. "I, uhm... I'm not scared of you. Not anymore at least. You're a really cool guy Munson." He said, still holding onto his wrist. "Thanks sweetheart. You're not too bad yourself." He said moving Steve's hand off his wrist and got out of the car, walking up to the trailer, opening the door, and walking inside.

Steve sat there, face burning. 'S- Sweetheart??' he thought to himself. He shook it off and pulled out of the trailer park. Driving back home.
