Warning: Spoilers from the anime. I am only adding the one part about the Fairy Tail guild at the end of the Tartaros Arc(My friends haven't read the manga so I don't know if they know)

10 years after the first episode/chapter in Fairy Tail(Or 17, depending who you are including the time they spent on Tenrou Island)

"You'll soon be married to the love of your life!" I heard Erza, one of my bridesmaids, say excitedly to me as I looked at myself in my wedding gown. Today was the day I was getting married to Natsu. I looked in the full-body mirror and saw my hair almost done by Juvia, which ended up being a beautiful bun. Despite Juvia 'hating' me at the beginning of our friendship, our friendship has blossomed after Juvia and I got stuck doing a job together. My dress was lacy at the top and right about the waist, it goes down into silky material that went to the ground and spread out a bit at the bottom. Juvia was already married to Lyon and seemed very happy with him. It was after our quest, when we were 18 that recommended just us, though that Juvia got together with Lyon and got over her crush with Gray after Lyon came in at the last second to get her out of the way of a magic bullet that would've killed her if he saved her. Juvia was another one of my bridesmaids, along with Wendy, Levy, and Mirajane.

They were all congratulating me about our engagement and marriage but the decision didn't feel right at the time, even now it didn't. Natsu still had a great relationship with Lisanna and there were times when he would spend more time with her than me. We have been getting into a lot more fights since Lisanna and him talked about their past about a year or two ago, too.

They all left the room so I could have some alone time and do whatever I wanted to do by myself before the ceremony started. I kept staring at myself in the full-length mirror that was present before me. I sighed and thought about how a lot of my other friends, who were now married, were happy on their wedding day and are still happy today. And here I am, a little bit happy but more stressed than anything else.

I sighed, remembering that the love of my life wasn't the person I was marrying but yet was going to be on the sidelines. I started to think about Gray and mine's relationship as I waited for someone to grab me to get the wedding started.

~flashback ~

It all started when I first went to the guild. He ended up flashing me, despite the fact it wasn't his fault that it happened. I ended up smacking him with a chair and making him fly back to giant mess in the guild that is called a fight to normal people.

Our next encounter was in the forest, when he was heading back from a job. We had got stopped by some rogue wizards. While I was busy helping Happy, he had stopped that chicken man, from 'eating' us, even though he had the other wizards to deal with. It amazed me at the time how he was able to defeat those wizards without magic, using only his bare hands.

Later on, we were on a train, heading to Eisenwald, he had created me the guild symbol, and he gave it to me. He was so kind to me on the trip and the entire job. At that time, I hoped we could be more than friends, but only one or two times back then. He then came to get me for the battle between Natsu and Erza, which pleased me at the time that he noticed I wasn't there, or that he knew me enough to know that I would forget something like that.
