Jessie's POV

Before I even made it to Nancy's house I thought about something "oh shit what about George, if im not there for dad to take his anger out on, he will take it out on him" so I go to a store went to the bathroom and covered up my bruises

I'll just meet him at the school and explain I was ab a 10 minute walk to the School so I go there and wait ab an hour and a half for the middle schools lunch to hit

I go in to the school asking for George to come to the front he does and I explain everything " if you ever need me call Mike I'll be with his sister"" "ok I love you Jess" " I love you to geo"

We went back into the school and I heard the highschool lunch bell and I run to find Nancy and Jonathan. I found them explained everything and asked if I could stay with her till I figured things out. "Of course you can" she said looking sympathetic. I decided to go to school for the rest of the day to get my mind off billy and my shit of a dad.

I see Steve in 6th period looking a little beat up from the fight a few days ago and he asks "where have you been all day?" "Oh just some family stuff..." I responded "Jess tell me the truth." He pleased. I tell him everything and almost break into tears "woah, woah Jess why didn't you tell me any of this before?" " I didn't know how to say it..." "Im gonna beat Billy's ass." He says turning red

"Steve please calm down im fine, it's fine" I say " are you sure?" He says while slightly rubbing my face causing me to whimper because of the bruises and my face. "Woah what happened?!" He said as I realized he rubbed of some of the makeup " my I use the restroom please" I say.looking down. "Yes you may ms.evans' the teacher said I grabbed my bag and went to the bathroom to cover up the bruises.

I covered them but I was not ready to go back class and explain to Steve, but when I got back he was gone. "oh shit" I ran back out of the classroom so see Steve getting in his car heading towards my and Billy's street.
