"You have been chosen."

It was the day everyone had been waiting for. Everyone had piled up onto the sofas in Mason and Rose's apartment.

"Todays the big day guys!" Lissa squealed, looking at Eddie and Mia with a huge grin. After she fell in love with christian, she was set on helping her other friends also get into healthy, loving, relationships.

Today was the day of the Damphir Restoration Program assignments. The Damphir Restoration Program is basically where single eligible damphir and moroi alike are arranged into marriages to increase the Damphir population. The contestants took compatibility tests to try to get compatible partners without any issues.

"Yup" Rose grinned. Eddie and Mia were sitting together, hands clasped together, talking amongst each other and trying to calm each other down. Rose couldn't help but notice that Mia in particular looked a bit blue and stressed out. Standing up, she went to the kitchen and filled up a glass of water.

"Mia, are you okay?" Rose asked, passing her the glass.
"Yeah, I'm fine," She replied sheepishly, taking a sip.

Rose went to sit down on the sofa next to her boyfriend Mason, who instinctively put his arm around her in a protective way. Although Rose was a damphir, and was a better fighter than him, it was nice to know that someone was willing to help protect her and safeguard her. Rose snuggled closer towards him and turned on the TV.

"Thank you all for joining us today, and we will begin with the names being called shortly. " The queen, Tatiana Ivashkov, declared in authoritative voice.

"Don't worry guys, you'll be fine," Christian said, in an attempt to settle Mia and Eddie's nerves.
"Thanks Eddie," Mia mumbled, finishing off her glass of water.

Soon after, the queen reappeared on the screen; "A reminder to all that the pairs were chosen based on compatibility and everyone submitted a test to our matchmaker, Ms. Sidorova. Now, without further ado, for the first annual damphir restoration program pickings we have...."

Eddie and Mia looked at each other, dumbfounded but also relieved, since they both knew each other was a decent person.

"Congrats guys!" Lissa warmly said, acknowledging what had just happened.
"Yeah, guys, that's great," Christian added with a grin,

Lissa was about to turn off the TV when the queens booming voice came through the speaker once more;
"Don't leave yet, there is still one more pair that I will announce myself, since it is my beloved great nephew involved. The last pair of the first annual Damphir Restoration Program is..... Adrian Ivashkov and Rosemarie Hathaway."
