First Date ~Luke~

This kind of goes off of the imagine I made previously before. I'm not sure if some of the stuff I said counts as triggers, but this involves parents leaving, and some abuse. Also some cuss words added in there. The italics are the flashbacks. Just warning you all! Hope you all enjoy :)

After you and your sister were done at the mall you drove home faster than usual. You were super nervous about the night ahead. Once you got home you put your phone on the dock and started blaring All Time Low. You were currently listening to Weightless. You were basically screaming the lyrics. "But I'm stuck in this fucking rut waiting on a second hand pick me up and I'm over, getting older. If I could just find the time then I would never let another day go by I'm older, getting old." Right before the refrain your phone ringed and ruined the moment. You ignore it at first, but your phone wouldn't stop going off. You finally decided that you should check your phone and you see a mysterious number show up.

XXX-XXX-XXXX:

Can't wait to see you tonight! Doesn't have to be super fancy, you'll look good either way. Anyway this is Luke. ;)

You:

Alright Luke ;) see you at 7

——————- Two hours later ————————————————————-

You were just doing final touches on your makeup when your sister came barging into your room. "GIRL HE'S HERE YOU BETTER GET YOUR BOOTY DOWN THERE!" You roll your eyes and grab your purse and walk down the stairs. When you get there Luke is already inside looking at pictures of you and your sister when you were younger. When he noticed you were standing there he turned and said sorry. You just said, "It's fine Luke. That was about two years ago.". He says, "I didn't want to seem weird. Where are your parents?".At that moment you got super panicky because you didn't want to tell them they left you guys alone two years ago, after that picture was taken. Your sister knew that made you upset because she butted in saying, "You guys better get going because I don't want to be up all night waiting for you to get home. Love you sis have fun." She ran up and kissed your cheek and pretty much shoved you out the door. You guys walked down the pathway to where his car was parked. He politely opened the car door for you, and shut the door once you were in. Once he got into the car he turned the radio on to soothe the tension. You had no clue where he was taking you, but you went along with it because he seemed like a really nice guy. You wish that he wasn't a man like your father. You sit there remembering the nights that he hurt you.

It was another one of those nights. Your dad and you were arguing like usual. Neither of you know why you were fighting, you just never had a good relationship with each other. He was currently yelling at you about your grades. You ignore him, and a couple seconds later the left side of your face feels numb. You didn't comprehend what happened until your sister came into your room that night crying talking about how your dad hit you. Nobody ever noticed the constant bruises on your arms, legs, and face. You always put a crap ton of concealer on to hide the bruises. Your mother never believed you, so you decided that you needed to take a break. Before you could tell your parents your idea, they already packed everything up and left. The only thing they left was a note saying, "I hope you guys have a good life. I'm going to pay for this apartment for one month, after that you need to figure out life on your own. Bye forever, Mom."

You didn't realize that he stopped the car until he said, "We are here, are you okay?" You quickly glance over realizing that you were just staring at the window, with a slight tear in your eye. You reply back with, "Yeah I'm fine let's go." He gets out and quickly comes around to your side of the car and opens the door. He covers your eyes immediately after you got out of the car. You teasingly say, "Luke I swear if you're going to murder me, my sister will probably kick your ass." He just chuckles and tells you where to go. When he finally lets you see where you are you notice you are at the park. He seems to have set up this night picnic for you, with lights and everything. You turn to Luke and see a huge smile on his face because of your reaction.

After you guys have been quiet for a while he squirms around for a bit. You look over and ask, "Luke what is bothering you? I know when someone is squirming like that something is bothering them." He takes a deep breath and says, "I'm sorry if I made things awkward about asking where your parents were. I didn't know that would make things weird until I already asked. I noticed in the car that you were in deep thought and I noticed that you started to tear up. If you want to tell me anything I'm here for you no matter what. I'm not trying to pressure you into telling me anything, I just want you to know I'm here." He looks at you with a sad emotion in his eyes. You suddenly start to tear up, and he embraces you in a huge hug. When you broke the hug you said very shakily, "It's not your fault don't worry about it. My sister and I get that question all the time. Our parents left us about two years ago, after that photo you saw of us was taken. My dad beat me all of the time for no reason, and my mom never believed me. They left us because they thought I was a stupid kid, and I was just lying for the attention. I'm currently working to pay the rent every month, and I'm all alone on this with my sister by my side. My sister and I have been living there alone for two years now. Every once and a while she still comes up to my room and cries because she misses the old mom before my dad totally brainwashed her." By the time you finished tears were freely flowing down your face. You felt a thumb on your cheek and noticed Luke was wiping the tears away. Quietly he says, "I'm so sorry for everything that you went through. Nobody, especially you, deserves to be treated in that manner. If there is anything I can do to help you and your sister I would be more than happy to. You ready to head home?" You just hugged him and nodded your head.

Once you got home you noticed your sister asleep on the couch. You motioned Luke to be quiet. You were about to walk up the stairs when Luke grabbed your waist and pulled you into his chest. He whispered in your ear, "I'm always here for you and your sister. Make sure she understands that. Just saying I would never ever ever treat a girl in that way. Stay strong for me and I'll text you tonight okay?" You spoke into his shirt, "Thank you so much you don't even understand how much that means for my sister and I. And I also can't wait for another one of these dates of ours. Goodnight Luke text you tonight." When you watched him pull out the driveway your sister stood beside you at the window. You guys stood there in silence until she said, "Sis, I think he's a keeper." You just smiled and gave her a huge hug.

Once you got upstairs and were basically asleep you heard your phone ding. You sleepily looked over and saw who it was from. Your lips curled into a smile when you read:

Luke :):

Hey you're probably asleep but I had a really nice time tonight. And I just want you to know you are the most beautiful girl in the world. Talk to you tomorrow. :)

You didn't reply to it. Instead you just laid back and looked towards your ceiling thinking that you were the luckiest girl alive at the moment. You slowly fell asleep to that thought inside your head, knowing that you were going into something amazing.
