So, I'm kinda sad this is coming to an end, but also happy that i was able to do this! I really thought I lost my touch at writing, but this proved otherwise...
We're going to have a little trigger warning for this chapter: mentions of su*cide...

"So you're required to pair up with one other person for your final output this year. You're going to shoot your documentary, and the possibilities are endless, given how diverse your batch is. You're given three weeks until your deadline – September the first is when you turn them all in."
This is coming to an end – after nearly 4 years, and I thoroughly enjoyed every single moment. Film school was an unconventional path for my family bloodline – one that's oozing with business grads and topnotchers. Neither did I have the passion nor the protégé to persuade me to walk in those footsteps. I let my heart lead me, and it galloped towards film studies. I loved cinematography. I loved motion pictures, and it dawned on me that I wanted to go beyond that – I wanted to know the whys and how's, so I took it upon myself to just go for it.
This final project will be filled with a lot of my hopes and learnings, so it feels like the turning point of my life. And ever since the announcement, I've been eyeing the doe-eyed man to be my muse – this Korean exchange student who looks part bunny and part baby. He'd joined this class as his open elective, and ever since he kept wearing his black cap to campus, I've been intrigued. His beautiful eyes carry mirth, but I also see something else: like he's living his first life, experiencing everything for the first time, like he has been on a tough place before but now is coming to terms with it. And that is what I want to uncover.
I approach him and see hum fidgeting. "Hi, my name is Zia, and we're in the same film study class. Do you already have a partner for the assignment?" He looked up at me and smiled, and I swear it took my breath away. His once-intimidating face transformed into the sweetest child in a span of seconds. I've never seen him class before, he was always chewing on his bottom lip, brooding and keeping to himself. Seeing him smile today made my heart flutter in broad daylight. Such a peculiar smile – his eyes smiled first before his lips, his nose scrunching up cutely.
