"Man it's 98 degrees ! I'm going to have a heat stroke fooling with y'all out here." My dad complained.
"Do you need water daddy?" I asked him for the millionth time.
"No I need to go ahead and get all this out the way !" I rolled my eyes.
My daddy was a very nice man, but this heat bring the attitude out of all of us down here in the South. Today was the day that I finally move away. It's only a hour in a half away. To me it's not too far, but not close enough for my mom to come to my door every day. I was nervous, but so ready. I waited until 2 days ago to pack everything, so I've been up all night. I AM TIREDDD. All of my family came to help. We out here sweating like dogs, but it'll all be worth it in the end.
About an hour later, we were finally getting the last couple couches in. I decided to leave it to the men and wash up to fix everyone a quick meal before it was time for them to go.
I went to kitchen and grabbed the weenies and hamburger meat from the refrigerator and put them on the stove to cook and season. Finally after finishing, I laid the buns, chips , ketchup, mustard, cole slaw and baked beans out and called every one to MY new table. ooouuu that sounds so good.
"We might as well stay the night Lisa" My mom said.
"Yeahhhh Lele and we can watch movies and play games an-" My baby cousin said excitedly.
"uh, no. uh uh I thank y'all, but y'all GOTSSSS to go today."
My ma laughed it off and got up to help me clean up in the kitchen. After, eating and resting up for a bit my family said their final goodbyes and that's when it all started.
