Chapter 1: New Friends

As the sun rises in the Shiganshina District a young girl that goes by the name "Y/N" comes running out of her humble abode to see the sunrise. Y/N always loved sunrises; she found comfort in them. Her beautiful h/c hair gets messy as a cool gust of wind comes in. "Oh, my Y/N. Your hair is all messy now. Here let me fix it for you." says a beautiful woman. She walks up to Y/N as she starts braiding Y/N's hair.

~Y/N's POV~

My parents have always been clean freaks. Ever since I was little, they always made sure I cleaned my room and if my dad came in and checked how I did, it always scared me to death. If he saw some dust on the drawer or anywhere, he would ask me to clean it all over again. My father, even if he is humanity's strongest soldier, had a soft spot for me. He always liked to clean and train together with me. At the age of 5 I could beat his squad members in a hand in hand combat. Levi didn't expect less from me since I had the same traits and personality as him.

~Normal POV~

"Mom, when will dad come back from his expedition?" the eager girl asked her mother who was currently braiding her hair. "Well, it depends on what type of work they are doing. How about when he comes back you can show him the new moves you learnt. He would love to see how strong you have become." The girl gasped and her eyes shinned brighter than stars. Y/N had been training in secret ever since her dad left for the expedition which was over a week ago. Y/N heard laughter as she looked over to her right. A black-haired girl with a bright red scarf was playing with a brunette boy. Right beside them was a blonde boy who kept staring into a book he had on his hands. Y/N's mom said "There we go your hair is all neatly braided. Hey sweetie how about you try to make some friends?" As she looked over to the three children. "Ok~." Y/N said as she made her way over to the kids.

~Eren's POV~

A h/c haired girl made her way over to us as she sat next to Mikasa. The bright e/c eyed girl asked "Heyyy, what are your names?" Mikasa looked up to her and said "I'm Mikasa." "I'm Eren!" I said with a smile on my face. I'm always happy to make new friends.

~Y/N's POV~

The blonde boy stopped reading his book to meet me close to his face. "WAAH." He yelled surprised. "Sorryyy, I didn't mean to startle you." I spoke. He replied saying, "No, it's ok. I'm Armin by the way!" I smiled and said, "Well it's nice to meet all of you. Also, what are you reading Armin?" "Well, it's a book about-." Armin got interrupted by Eren saying, "It's a book about the world beyond the walls! Pretty cool right?!" He looked at me with wide eyes. Armin smiled to see Eren's enthusiasm and looked over to me. He said, "Hey Y/N, have you heard about the sea? It's so big and salty. Merchants could spend all their lives trying to get the salt and still not get all of it!" I gasped in awe and replied saying, "Wait for real?! Its that big!!" "Also, Y/N there are fiery waters, lands of ice and sandy snowfields! If I join the Survey Corps, I would be able to see all of that." Eren said to me with determined eyes. "Not gonna happen." Said Mikasa with a disgusted look on her face. "The Survey Corps is way too dangerous, and I don't want to lose you Eren. They are nothing but crazy people who like venturing outside the walls!" "So what? I too may be crazy. At least I would fit in there perfectly besides this is my life not yours. Plus, I am not your brother, so you don't have to look out for me!" Eren snapped at Mikasa. "Hey guys no need to fight right Y/N?" Armin said looking over to me. "Uhm, yes no need to fight so please calm down Eren." I said as I tapped Eren on the shoulder. "Y/N! Its time for lunch." I heard my mother yell in the distance. "Oh well time to go. See you guys around. It was fun talking to you all!" I said as they waved good-bye to me.
