minho looked worse and worse each day of the week. hyunjin and felix looked at him in worry yet never mentioned his hygiene, scared they would sound rude. they figured minho knew; he was probably just going through something.

minho was not doing well. he isolated himself a lot after school, thinking only about jisung. he invited him over everyday, ignoring his other friends. minho slowly lost control of what he was doing until the end of the week.

"you should meet my friends." minho told jisung. he was sitting on his lap, with his hands on his shoulders.

"you think so?" jisung asked, minho nodding eagerly. he agreed being persuaded easily.

it was friday.

minho had seen his friends for the first time today at lunch. he was in a surprisingly cheerful mood for the state minho was living in.

"you guys wanna meet jisung today, after school?" he asked excitedly. the two forced a smile trying to hide their nervousness.

after what jeongin had told them, they didn't know who minho had been seeing for a month now. they saw no pictures, no text messages— nothing. they were only being led by what minho described him as.

it was a totally different approach than when he met chan.

they avoided asking minho questions, seeing how when they did, minho would lash out on them as well. they knew the line was shallow so they constantly walked on egg shells when minho brought this person up.

the two planned to meet up after hyunjin drops jeongin off at seungmins house. that would give jisung enough time to be at minhos before the two.

"okay, for sure. see you later, minho!" hyunjin smiled before leaving the lunch table when the school bell rings.

"i'm excited." felix smiled widely, having it disappear when he turned his back.

"hi! come in, come in." minho eagerly let them in his house. the two laughed slightly, seeing minho so happy it was contagious. their worries washed away as they saw minho cleaned up and presentable.

minho explained jisung went to his room, being nervous about meeting them as well. they rolled their eyes and scoffed, "are we really that intimidating?" they laughed.

"that's what i said!"

as the three headed over to minhos room, they couldn't help but notice the mess around the house. there were pots and pans scattered in the kitchen, pillows and blankets in the living room. it looked like some things were just left there. others looked as if things were left undone; being halfway done with the thought of it being completed by someone else.

"jisung, they're here!" minho called out as he opened his door.

they entered the room, hyunjin and felix immediately growing confused.

"is he in the bathroom or..?" hyunjin asked. the room was clean, yet empty. no one was in there but them.

minho raised his eyebrow, sitting on the edge of his bed, "what?! haha, no! he's right here." minho laughed, like hyunjin made a hilarious joke. he placed his hand next to him, on an empty spot in the bed.

"min.. no one's next to you." felix added. he spoke softly, scared.

minho scoffed, "okay, ha ha, so funny. now stop being rude and introduce yourself!"

hyunjin and felix stood in front of minhos desk, sitting on top of it lightly with their hands crossed. they stayed silent and minhos eyes switched between jisung and his friends.

minho suddenly stood up, facing the empty spot on his bed with his hands in front of him trying
to stop something, "sungie, no! you don't need to leave, it's okay."

he stood in panic as he followed nothing to the door.

"look what you fucking did! why can't you accept the fact i've moved on?!" minho cursed at his friends. hyunjin held onto minhos arm before he could leave the room. minho tried to fight and get out of his grip in anger, shouting how jisungs leaving.

"no one's there minho." hyunjin said sternly. felix was afraid while hyunjin was determined to snap some sense into his friend.

hyunjin had caught on quickly that minho wasn't in the right state of mind; only confirming his theory once jeongin had confessed. felix did not know what was happening; he thought he was losing it too.

"he's real. he's fucking real." minho gritted his teeth. he tried to get out of hyunjins grip once more only took be thrown back onto his bed.

"snap out of it, minho! do you see how messy your house is? he's all in your head!"

felix was now sitting down on one of minhos chairs, staying out of the argument the two were in. he didn't know if he should comfort minho or back hyunjin up.

"he's the man of my dreams." minho shouted.

"there is no 'he', minho! fucking hell— you're seeing things! are you fucking drunk? high? what's going on?" hyunjin snapped. he was throwing his hands up in frustration.

"i'm not delusional! jisung loves me! h—he loved me!" minhos voice cracked as he tried to back up the person he spent so much time with.

"that's not jisung. you didn't fall in love with anyone," hyunjin spoke.

"you imagined it to be chan, right? that he's still here? you fixated on ONE person you found attractive and projected yourself on them. minho, jisung blocked you months ago. move on— it hurts us too." hyunjins tone began to soften.

felix gasped as minho stood up and slapped hyunjin. hyunjin almost lost his balance, holding the side of his face as he tried to see minho clearly again. hyunjin looked at him with sympathy, desperation, that minho had realized what he did.

he was no longer angry.

minhos eyes widened in shock, backing away from hyunjin in fear, "i—im sorry. i don't know what came over me. hyunjin, i'm so sorry." his hands combed through his hair.

all hyunjin did was engulf minho into a hug. he petted his head as minho held onto his shirt tightly.

"minho, it's okay." felix said as they hugged.

"we're here, minho. we're real."
