It was a month ago when Deimos had pinned his feelings for Sanford. Though he wasn't exactly thrilled that he had feelings for his best friend, not that Deimos didn't want to like Sanford, it was Sanford not liking him he feared.

Deimos feared a lot of things.

What he would even say to Sanford? Sanford thinks he's straight! Wait... Deimos hasn't even come out yet.

'What if they call me weak? What if they don't accept me? What will Sanford think?' Deimos' intrusive thoughts clouded his brain.

Deimos sat there, lost in thought. Staring off into space. He didn't even realize he was starting at Sanford from across the room.

He snapped back to reality to a hand waving at his face.

"Hello?? Hellooo??? Earth to Deimos!" Sanford snapped his fingers once more to get Deimos' attention.

"Get your hands outta my face man! I'm here! Whatcha want?" Deimos was confused.

"You were staring at me for a while, chucklehead. I thought you needed something."

Deimos' flushed a light pink.

"Ah- uh sorry man I was just thinkin'."

Sanford's interest peaked, now he was curious.

"Thinkin' about what?" Laid down next to Deimos in their shared bed.

Deimos flushed a deeper pink, not that it was all that noticeable. He couldn't let Sanford know his feelings, he wouldn't let Sanford know.

"I- uh nothin', man."

"Nah, it had to be something, you got that look in your eye."

Jesus Christ. 'Oh God, does he know? Did he find out? How? Is he gonna hate me? He's gonna hate me.' Deimos internally panicked.

"Whaat? Nahh, you're trippin' man..." Deimos nervously replied.

"Was it-" Sanford was interrupted

"YOuu know what! I gotta uh- take a smoke break."

Sanford frowned as Deimos took his pack of cigs out of his nightstand drawer and left.

Deimos walked down the halls to the outside of the base. He took out a cigarette and lit it up.

Shit.

God, not again.

Deimos' cigarette wasn't working, why is that? Maybe there's something wrong with it.

Deimos quickly got out another cigarette and lit it. He prayed that this one was functional.

It wasn't.

Deimos groaned and stomped out the useless thing. Maybe there was something else that could help Deimos through the overwhelming stress he was going through right now.

He went inside his base, and went to the kitchen, looking for something like gum, a lollipop, anything that could distract him from this state.

Nothing.

Deimos started to panic, he needed a distraction.

He started to tear up, intrusive thoughts overwhelming his mind, scenarios he'd never want to be in.

He didn't want anyone to see him like this. He blinked away the tears threatening to spill and ran to the bathroom.

He bumped into somebody. Perfect.

"Sorry man! Where ya' going in such a rush?"

It was Sanford. God no.

Deimos' breathing hitched, it suddenly became hard to breathe. Though, somehow he managed to choke something out.

"I- uh- It's nothing!"

He rushed past Sanford and down the hall to the bathroom, he shut the door harshly and sat on the floor, knees up to his head.

Tears started to swell up again, he couldn't breathe, he had a major headache, and it felt as if the walls were going to close in on him.

As Deimos sobbed quietly and drowned in his panic attack, a soft knock was heard at the door.

"Deimos, Buddy? Are you okay?" Said Sanford.

Deimos looked away from the door, vision blurry with tears. In between sobs, he choked out a soft, "I'm fine."

"Are you sure?" Sanford asked with concern.

That only made things worse. 'he's gonna think I'm weak. He's gonna think I'm weak. He won't love me if I'm weak.' Deimos' thoughts pushed more tears and more quiet sobs, and an even worse headache.

"Deimos?"

He snapped.

"Sanford. I'M. FINE! IT'S NOTHING! LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE!"

Why'd he say that? Oh my God.

"Oh." He sounded hurt, "Alright then, I'm sorry. Just... Tell me if you need somethin'."

'Don't leave...' Deimos thought.

God. Now he was alone, on the floor, in a bathroom, crying, with a migraine.

What was he gonna do with himself? Poor Dei.
