I woke up to my mamá making desayuno. I walked out of my bedroom and saw her in her waitress outfit. She has 3 jobs to make enough money to pay the bills. I hate seeing her work so hard, I blame all of it on my padre for walking out on us 8 years ago. My older brother Juan left a few years back. He said it was too hard to be the oldest one. I am pretty sure he went to Florida but I don't know all the details. Mamá never likes talking about them. She always blames herself and it kills me to see her in such pain. My little brothers Pedro and Cameron promised me they would never speak about them in front of mamá.
I looked over at the clock and read 7:30. Mierda! I cursed at myself I had to get to school. It starts in 15. School isn't very important to me I am never going to college but my mamá believed I would, so I stayed in school. I grabbed a pair of jeans and a black t-shirt, and grabbed my bandana. I tied it on, making sure my gang symbol was facing the right way.
I left my bedroom and looked for mamá but couldn't find her. I left the house and hopped on my motorcycle and head for Mountain View.
