Fate is genuinely a beautiful word.
Beautiful, but cruel.
Fate is a twisted way of living. Believing. More so, a twisted way of waiting for the inevitable endings in life. Whether it's "fate" in meeting the love of your life, or it's "fate" of bringing misfortune everywhere you go.
Some can say fate is a happily ever after ending. Other's can say it's the end of a tragic story. Or even some can say it's fate to be buried 6 feet under.
Fate has always been a complex word to understand. Well, for me. Fate has only brought misfortune to me. Within my father. Within myself. Within my family. Within anyone connected to me. I bring misfortune.
I never understood that fate could mean something good. I never got the gist that it can be a wish come true or a real happy ending.
Thoughts built up through the years. Hatred for the beautiful, yet cruel word. The thoughts of me never getting the happy and beautiful version of the so called fate, but instead getting the fucked and messed up version.
That word is cruel, but I still love it.
Whether I believe in it or not, It brought me to him.
Through fate, I met the one who I was destined to love.
Through fate, it brought me the one I was meant to destroy.
Through fate, it brought me to the one who was to bring a cataclysmic heartbreak.
The beautiful, yet cruel word, led me to the soul I was supposed to spend eternity with.
It made me think our stars were to be aligned.
And they were.
But again, fate can be such a cruel word.
We were fated to spend eternity apart.
Just like the stars as they were never made to align.
Just like Altair and Vega.
A goddess and a mortal who fell in love.
And were punished to be apart for the rest of eternity.
A beautiful boy and a sickly girl who were destined for a tragic fate.
And destined for one over and over in each lifetime.
