Hybrids are supernatural creatures that are half vampire and werewolf or half another supernatural creatures. Example from the movie vampire diaries, Niklaus is half werewolf and vampire which makes him a hybrid. When a hybrid which is half human and werewolf, the werewolf genes takes over the humanity. So the hybrid becomes a werewolf with no human genes. A hybrid has double the abilities than a normal supernatural creature.
