Chapter 1 | University

People are walking to and fro as soon as the traffic light turned red. There was a racketing sound coming from each of the people with the things they owned with vanity. Although the road was crowded there was no chaos, everybody was focused on themselves to advance towards their goals.

Today I am wearing a pair of white long sleeves and a black silky vest on top of it. In this heat, no one should bother me. Instead of blaming the school's uniform I just ignore this madness inside me. The more I will get angry the more heat I will consume. That being said, I was not the only one wearing the uniform. Rather all of the students at S University are in the same position as me.

I did not waste time, after I landed on the other side of the road, I immediately got out of the crowded people by crossing an intersection just beside Alma's Bakery. As soon as I arrived in front of the university's gate, a smile formed on my lips knowing that I got here right on time. Without further thinking, I walk inside the university and saw how extravagant the school was.

There are tall trees that shade students from the blazing sun when they walk toward their respective buildings. Although there are a lot of trees, the trees are just put in a row just beside the road which is made for students easier to get to their classroom. And just those trees there are benches where students are given free time where they can read, study, or eat their lunches.

The university also provided a big field for field sports, as well as a big gymnasium just right for indoor sports like badminton, basketball, and volleyball. The rest like tennis, chess, taekwondo, arnis, dancers, etc. are given respective rooms where they can do their endeavors.

S University is one of the top 3 prestigious schools that has good academics and extracurricular activities. It helps students balance their school life with being good at written exams and other varieties of clubs. Not just that, S University has a good environment which is why a lot of people want to enter this school including me.

I am a freshman in this school. Although it was my first time I was not alienated from this surroundings because I had come to this school earlier. More like freshmen are introduced by the undergraduates at the school earlier. They provide tours and club selection just before the school year started. The management and planning of the school is a plus one for the parents and students which is also one of the reasons they are happy choosing the school.

However, admission to this university is not easy as everyone thinks. They have high standards which is why the school entered the top 3. There are a lot of rich and studious students here at S University. Those rich students came from families that help with the establishment of the school, by donation of course. The studious students are those either rich, middle, or poor that passed the entrance examination. I am one of the middle status and I passed the entrance examination without a hassle. Well, I just studied that's why.

"Cynthia wait for me!" Two girls suddenly passed by me. The girl who first passed me was probably Cynthia and the girl who called her was her friend.

"Faster! They are here!" 'They' must mean the popular students in the school. From what I learned, this school has these special students with special privileges.

Well, mostly those students who are listed as specials are those with a connection to the board of directors. Students whose families have donated to the school. Although there are a lot, only 5 out of a hundred and more students are popular just because of their looks.

"Oh my gosh, they are so handsome" Praise suddenly catch my ears as soon as I walk towards the crowd of young girls that didn't even give space to other students like me to walk through.

I approach one of the ladies on the corner to ask permission. "Excuse me, can I pass?"When the girl saw me, she looked at me confused then stared at me. After that, she turned her head ignoring me. I just stared at her with baffled face. 'Like what the fuck. We came here to study not to be fans of some handsome idols'

I just step back away from the crowd however when I was about to turn someone suddenly step at the back of my shoe which made my foot and shoes separate as soon as I lift my foot. I was about to get my shoe when someone accidentally kicks it forward.

I did not mind the kicking because in this crowd it was obvious but when I saw my shoe was kicked by the girls one after the other I quicken my pace in retrieving it. When I was about to retrieve it someone did a full kick.

"Excuse me, I'll just get my shoe," I said to the girls that were on my way which made me slower. I was just looking at the shoe where its last destination was a big space with no distractions. Because of that I happily move forward however someone accidentally pushed me.

"Shit" I cried silently and was ready to fall with my face on the floor. I close my eyes because of instinct. I was ready for my body to get hurt when I felt an arm wrap around my stomach. 'Okay, what is this shojo manga situation?'

When I feel that I can stand on my own. I awkwardly stand straight and step one step back. When I was doing this, I can hear the cries of the young teenagers who got their prince touched by some nameless human being.

Anyways I did not look at the prince who just saved me from kissing the floor. I just whispered thanks and grab the shoe that was now crying from pain. Ain't that I have some superpowers, that's just how I see it.

So anyways, after grabbing it I walk away from the crowd and put on my shoe when I saw that none of the crowd was present. I stand up straight and sighed while looking down at my poor shoe.
