What does Hyeongjun love more than anything else—besides video games? Spring. He loves the spring season, with the flowers blooming and the less torturing cold air. Plus, it's one step closer to summer time, that means summer break, that means more video games.
Maybe the only thing that Hyeongjun doesn't love about spring is that he has terrible pollen allergies. He'd be sneezing here and there. Just a few moments ago, his P.E. teacher decided to hold the class out in the field, and the field had some dandelions growing. And so, as he ran through the track, he kept sneezing. Unfortunately, the teacher wasn't kind enough to sit him out.
Now, he's trying his best to avoid the outside world no matter how beautiful it is at the moment. Until a certain raven-haired gal decided to change that. "Come with me," Taeri said as she dragges him outside the buildings. "I found a perfect way for you to make it up to me."
"Do I really have to do it now?" Hyeongjun asked.
"Yes, because I don't want anyone stealing it," she replied.
"Stealing wha—achoo!"
Suddenly, before Hyeongjun knew it, they were already outside of school and in front of the music store nearby. "That, and bless you," Taeri pointed at the pastel pink electric guitar, covered with heart-shaped glitters. To Hyeongjun's sight, that had been the ugliest guitar he had ever seen in his life. But to Taeri, it's beautiful.
"Literally, no one is gonna steal something that ugly," Hyeongjun commented, causing the girl to punch him lightly in the arm. "Take that back!" she yelled.
"Ow! Why did you even drag me here? Surely, you're not gonna have me buy that?" he asked.
"Oh, no, I'm not that cruel!" Taeri replied, and then dragged him into the store. It was a beautiful store, and Hyeongjun had been here for so many times already. At this point, he's the most valuable customer because he bought so many things from here.
There were different kinds of guitars hanging on the walls, and the electric guitars vary in designs. It's incredible, they look like they're impossible to play with by their shape but they aren't.
Then, a man—the store owner—approached the two of them. "You're back," he said, looking at Taeri. And then he saw Hyeongjun. "You too! Didn't know you'd be back so soon either!"
The lad smiled. Just two days ago, he came over to buy this incredibly edgy acoustic guitar, and he was willing to pay thousands for it. "Yes, and I brought the reason you should give me a discount!" Taeri said, pulling Hyeongjun closer to her side.
"What—"
"Taeri, I said you need to show me your amazing skills in order to get a discount for the guitar. That boy is not you," the store owner chuckled.
"Ah, ah," Taeri held up her forefinger in front of the store owner, and then slowly pointed at Hyeongjun. "I'm giving him the guitar."
"That pink glittery guitar is for Hyeongjun?" the man asked in disbelief, and looked at the boy.
Hyeongjun was staring at Taeri with widened eyes. "I don't want no—" "Yes, it's his birthday soon! It was supposed to be a surprise but then you refuse to give me a discount, I had to drag him all the way over here," Taeri cut him off.
"It's not my—" once again, Hyeongjun was cut off but this time, it was because he was elbowed not-so-lightly in the stomach by the young girl.
"Very well, but I still want to hear him play," the store owner clearly didn't buy Taeri's excuses, but she was so determined that he had no choice.
The girl squealed happily as she waited for the man to grab the guitar, set it up, and have Hyeongjun play it. Then, she turned at the taller. "You really couldn't play along, huh?" she sighed.
