Amber

After four years

I was lying in the bedroom in only my underwear; with the air conditioner on I still wondered how it's possible that I was still so hot. In Sicily it was unbearable in the summer months. I was already tanned in May. Christina was trying to make me black. Alex, who loved the sun, was already in over his head. The sun was very strong and therefore he had to be very careful in the vineyards. If he didn't take enough care of it, the whole crop could perish. I helped him in the vineyards in the morning, but four hours in the direct sun was enough for me.

I turned on my side and looked at the sleeping humans next to me. They were beautiful. My children. My beautiful babies who will be so big in a moment.

I sighed and stroked Stephan's brown hair, which he inherited from his father.

Then there was Zara. Zara, who inherited her blonde hair from me and blue, sapphire eyes from her father. She always reminded me of her father.

Both were now peacefully dreaming their dreams. They were tired. They hugged each other in their sleep while smiling. Alex should have been here at any moment. We were supposed to have lunch together, probably just the two of us. I'll probably let our angels sleep.

I get out of the bed to find my attractive husband. I put on a white dress with frills and quietly slipped out of the bedroom. After so many years, I could find my way around this huge house. Although here and there I still found myself thinking about which corridor to take. I went barefoot. My footsteps on the marble floor were not even heard.

I had a feeling that I would find him in his study. He must have been working on a new book that he was supposed to submit in a week. He has published about three books in recent years and each of them has been a bestseller, so his admirers and readers have high expectations. Even a lot of fan sites and fanpages. Every day, more and more female admirers were added to him. They all wanted to know what he looked like and who he really was. He even regularly received many letters from admirers, even love letters.

How can you fall in love with someone you don't know? I have no idea!

I didn't make any of it. Whenever a new letter arrived and I looked into his eyes, I knew that I had nothing to worry about.

I entered his office without knocking. And I was right.

My hardworking husband was waiting for me at his desk. He was wearing glasses with metal frames. He heard the door creak upon my arrival, looking up from his computer and smiling wearily. He was tired and we still had dinner.

Today was my birthday, so we invited all our friends here. Christina, Denis, Anna, Daniel, Eva, Mark, Sia and Erik were supposed to arrive in an hour. We were supposed to have dinner together at our house. Dinner was prepared by our housekeeper and the car was already waiting for them at the airport. It was time to start preparing.

"What are you hiding here?" I went around the table and Alex moved his chair away from the table.

"I just wanted to add something. I already finished it. I'm finally free. Eva already has it in her mail," he pulled me into his arms.

I was sitting on his lap and I felt something pushing in my ass and I doubt it was the button of his pants.

"I missed you," he complained.

He buried his nose in my neck and kissed me softly.

I savored it while inhaling his scent. He smelled so wonderful. Even after so many hours in the sun, he still smelled so beautiful.
