KNB Seven Minutes in Heaven

A Maji Card

"A Maji card." You look up, you're pretty sure you know who this belongs to, your eyes drift to a surprised Kagami.

"Who had the Maji card?" Riko asks cheerfully.

Kagami stands up, "Yeah, that's mine."

You walk behind Kagami to the closet, a blush forming on your face. Riko closes the door behind you. Looking around, it's almost pitch darkness and hardly anything can be seen.

"So, um, what's the point of this game?" Kagami says from not too far away.

"Ah, well. Two people go into the closet and they can... y'know... kiss or something."

"KISS!?" Kagami shouts, you can sense him leaning down to whisper, "like... on the mouth and stuff."

" I mean, I guess, if you want to." You were getting more and more flustered by the second.

"Is that how you win the game?"

"Well, there isn't really a way to win, you just do or don't... I guess it's kinda like spin the bottle?"

Kagami huffs, "this game's weird."

"Ah, um, sorry Riko made you do this. We can just sit here until our time is up if you want."

"Huh? Well, I mean, it's not like I meant kissing would be a bad thing."

You jolt, "What are you saying?"

"I just mean, if I had to kiss anyone I'm fine with it being you, is all."

"Oh... Well, I guess I feel the same then."

"So... do we kiss now?"

"KAGAMI!"

"What? I thought that was the point?"

"It is, I mean, it is if you want to."

"I don't understand. Do we or not?"

You cover your face with your hands. This is making your heart beat like crazy in your chest.

"Hey."

You look up from your hands, your eyes were starting to adjust to the darkness, you could see Kagami looking down at you. It was a little difficult to stare back at him, your eyes dart around his face, he was too handsome, you just can't focus, you don't even realize when he starts inching closer to you,

"Hey, um, you okay?"

"What?"

"I asked if you're okay?"

"Yeah, I'm totally fine, definitely," you could barely keep your composure as you spoke.

"Sorry if I'm upsetting you."

"No, it's not that... it's just" you sigh, "I just like you a lot so..."

"I like you too, you're a good manager."

"That's not what I mean, Kagami."

"It's not?"

"No.. I mean." you take a deep breath, "I have a really big crush on you!" you cover your mouth, waiting for his response.

"Wait!? Seriously!??"

"Y-yeah? Why?"

"I had no idea!"

Of course Kagami wouldn't have the slightest clue, despite you constantly spending time with him, bringing him lunches or always helping him wherever he needed it.

Kagami scratches the back of his head, "It's not like I mind though."

You glance up at him, trying to figure out what he means by that.

He looks away, "Well, I mean, it's just. I think you're cute, y'know. I just figured you were the manager, so I didn't think much more of it. I never woulda guessed you were crushin' on me."

You start blushing even more with how bluntly he states that.

"So um" you think you can see the smallest blush forming on Kagami's cheeks, "you think we should date or somethin'? Or is that weird?"

"No, I , don't think it's weird."

Kagami nods, "Okay then."

You nod your head once.

"Should we kiss now?"

"Kagami!"

"Sorry, it's just. I dunno how I'm supposed to do this!"

You giggle, "Well at least you're putting effort in."

"Well yeah! I always give my one hundred percent! I'll definitely put one hundred percent in dating too! Well, as much as I can since I have to practice basketball too."

"Wait a second!" he continues, "this is perfect. You're always at basketball practice and games so we can double those as dating!"

You smile, his attitude was contagious.

"Hey Kagami?"

"Yeah, what is it?

"Could you kiss me now?"

You saw a smile form on his lips, "Yeah! No problem!"

You lean closer, waiting for him to meet you. He presses his lips against your, the kiss was a little clumsy at first, you feel him smile as he kisses you and you could hardly keep yourself from smiling back. You pull back, trying to stifle your giggles.

"Sorry, was it bad?"

You shake your head, "No, you're just... really adorable I can't help it."

"Hey!" his face looks even redder now.

You couldn't help but giggle more at how flustered he started getting. You slowly wrap your arms around his neck, pulling him closer to you, kissing his forehead and trailing down to his lips.

"You're the best, you know that."

He makes a small pout while looking down, "yeah, uh, same. Y'know."

You lean in to kiss him one more time when the door of the broom closet flies open, "TIME'S UP!" Riko shouts, causing you and Kagami to separate, feeling like you were going to have a heart attack.

"THE HELL, RIKO, YOU CAN'T JUST GO DOING THAT!" Kagami shouts.

Riko giggles, winking at you, "What? Did I interrupt something, Kagadummy?"

Kagami's eyes furrow as he lowers his tone, "Ah, well, I mean."

You take Kagami's hand, "c'mon, let's get back to the party."

He nods, "Yeah, okay."

you lead him out of the room, to where you were sitting before. Kagami takes his place beside you, which caused the other members of Seirin to raise a brow at you two, but that was okay. Your head was still in the clouds, happy to be sitting with Kagami.
