Chloe's P.O.V.
I stood at the table outside in my father's garage. I was organizing some tools for the car him and I are fixing up. I actually bought this car about a year ago. I had been looking for a car since I got my license. I was tired of using my dad's truck all the time. Especially when I wanted to spend the weekend with my girl best friends. He would always give me these rules about how he didn't want me doing this, or he didn't want me doing that. It was honestly getting so annoying. Especially one of the major rules he set was that I wasn't allowed to have boys in his truck. I know my dad means well because he cares about me, but sometimes it does get annoying. I was suddenly ripped from my thoughts as my phone went off. I actually jumped hearing it go off. I sighed softly, looking at the caller ID before answering:
"Hey Dean, what's up?"
"Sammy, Dest and I got a case in Jericho, California, wanna join us?" Dean asked me determined.
"Whats the case?"
"About a month ago, a guy's car was found, but he was gone. Completely MIA. The paper we have is a printout of an article from the Jericho Herald, headlined "Centennial Highway Disappearance" and dated Sept. 19th 2005; it has a man's picture, captioned "Andrew Carey MISSING".
"You're sure he wasn't kidnapped or something?"
"Well, there was another one, and another one in December 'oh-four, 'oh-three, 'ninety-eight, 'ninety-two, ten of them over the past twenty years. All men, all the Same five-mile stretch of road. It started happening more and more, so our Dad went to go dig around. That was about three weeks ago. I hadn't heard from him since, which is bad enough, -"
"Ah, man, I'm sorry Dean,"
"Don't feel bad, we'll find him, anyway, my dad sent me a voicemail, and I noticed there was something in the background, so I slowed it down and we got a woman's voice-"
"What did it say?"
"I can never go home..."
"Well, that's peculiar,"
"Tell me about it. So you in?"
"I wish I could Dean, but Dad's been watching me like a hawk. Ever since he found out that guy I planned that date with was a werewolf and I almost became a bitches dinner, Dad's been on me about not going hunting ever since,"
"No offense to your Dad, but you're a great hunter Chloe, you should be able to show it,"
"I agree with you but Dad's just very protective. I mean I can't say that I blame him. The shit we deal with gets really bad,"
"He can't protect you forever Chloe. He's gotta know that,"
"He does know that, but he's my father and I'm all he has besides you three. I'm his only daughter. He just wants to make sure nothing happens to me,"
"He can't keep you away from this life forever, eventually something is gonna pull you into it and he won't be able to stop you,"
"I know that Dean,"
"Well, look, I've gotta go, just call me if you change your mind okay. We'll tell you where to meet us,"
"Alright, thanks Dean. Hey, before you go, Destiny is with you guys right?"
"Yeah why?"
"I just wanted to make sure,-"
"If you're wondering why she isn't answering any of your calls at the moment it's because some punk ass dick tried to steal her phone so now Sam is trying to rip her off the guy she's currently kicking the living shit out of. Man....I wonder if she takes that feistyness to bed with her,-"
