This is about only Seto, sorry if the picture is confusing! :P
~Your POV~
I sat on the ground of the abandoned, underground mall. Cats of all colors, and sizes were around me, meowing and purring for attention.
An everlasting smile was plastered on my face, knowing I was not alone in this forsaken world.
Everyone left me as soon as they had taken notice my little 'mutation'. They thought a child with cat traits wasn't able to be a normal person. And I don't blame them.
Of course, that doesn't give them the right to judge someone who isn't normal to have human traits also.
The only person I can remember who treated me like a normal person is my actual mother.
She too had the same cat traits as I did, and I can still faintly remember the words she told me in her last moments.
"You must not let the world take you down. Go to Tokyo to find the survivors. Avoid all the ones who believe you are the misfit in this world. You'll find the right person, only in the right time..."
Even now, I am angry at the doctors. They believed my mother couldn't be cured of cancer because of her mutation. But in reality, I believe they just didn't want to have a being like this be alive in the world.
They didn't even bury her body properly. They brought her to a science lab and took her apart. How did I know? Well let's just say a little kitty told me.
My father left my mother when I had been born. Mom never spoke of him very often after that.
I sighed, looking down at a pure black cat laying in my lap. This was my best friend, my companion, through the journey of this world. My own pitch black ears laid flat as I stared down at him.
Soon enough, nature would be taking its course, and I'd be alone yet again. I just can't side with nature. Sometimes, I'm so afraid, he'll fall asleep, and never wake up again.
My (e/c) orbs glistened with tears, my vision blurring as the dark thoughts surfaced. This had to be the worst life someone could possibly have.
I couldn't make a sound. It's not because I didn't want to, it's because I physically cannot speak. I stopped long ago when I realized there was really nobody to share my thoughts with anymore.
I closed my eyes, stroking the musty fur of the animal laying on me. Leaning against the cold wall, I tried to relax. I needed to sleep.
And so, I did.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The sound of footsteps snapped me from slumber.
I went rigid, ears flicking side to side, trying to decipher where the echoing sound was protruding from. I quickly stood up, my feline friend in my arms.
My eyes trailed along the hallway, searching for a safe spot to hide. My eyes landed on a door to the right. Without another thought, I compelled myself towards it, hearing the footsteps grow louder.
"Hello?"
The voice was young, and male. He sounded fairly gentle, yet that's how all people are at first.
Yanking open the door, I flung myself in. However, I lightly shut it behind me, leaving just a crack to peek through.
A light came into my sight, blinding me for a moment, and then a light blue color...
Soon enough, I could make out the body of a young boy, most likely the same age as me. And as strange as it sounds, he looked kinda cute.
I could just see his dark blue eyes peering out from his brownish-red hair.
"Hello?" He called again.
I was almost tempted to call back... If I could, that is.
However, my thoughts were shared by a certain black cat.
"Meow."
'Oh no...' I mentally told myself, feeling the cat purr as the boy looked towards the door. Of all times, he has to wake up now?!
Backing up, I searched the room. To my dismay, it was completely bare.
My narrow pupils dilated as the door opened, and a bright light was set on me. Backing up, I hit a wall, and finally was face to face with the boy.
My ears laid flat, and I felt my tail frizz slightly from behind my leg.
At first, the boy just stood there, eyes wide and mouth slightly open. I held my dear friend close, afraid the person in front of me would harm us.
Suddenly, he stepped forward. "Are you okay...?"
I blinked, not moving a muscle as our eyes met. (E/c) and a deep blue clashing together.
Another step. "What's your name?"
I blinked, not too sure if, and how, I should tell him. It took a few seconds for me to cautiously stand on my feet, placing my little friend on the floor by my feet, and pushing him behind me.
In that next minute, '(Y/n)' was written on the wall. I looked back at him out of the corner of my eye, but this time however, he was much closer, and I whipped around, backing right back into the wall.
"Can you speak?" He dared to take another step forward.
Shaking my head vigorously, I slightly held my hands up, ready for anything 'unexpected'.
He must've not got the message, since now he stood right in front of me. Well, more like towered over me. I was very short.
I looked up at him with slight fear and discomfort, ears laying flat, not too comfortable with how close he was to me.
"Are you... Human...?"
After a few seconds, I nodded. 'Well, mostly human anyway.'
His eyes were deep, mesmerizing pools. I couldn't stop staring, until I felt something warm embrace my cold hands, making me jump slightly. Looking down, I noticed he had tangled his fingers in mine.
"Do you trust me?"
I blinked. Taking another minute to look at him, eyes a little wide.
I pondered my options. He hasn't harmed me yet, nor does he seem harmful in any way... But if I trifled to run to the door, he'd probably end up catching me... I looked back up at him. His eyes seemed desperate. I knew that look all too well.
Loneliness.
After a few seconds, I looked down at my little friend between us, weaving its way through our legs, looking up and meeting my gaze with a small 'meow'.
Meeting his gaze once again, I lightly squeezed his hand, hesitantly nodding as my tail swished behind me.
I was shocked when I was suddenly enveloped in a hug, a sense of comfort and warmth enveloping me. Fluttering feelings erupted from my stomach as I felt my cheeks heat up.
Nobody had ever held me like that before...
After a moment of me staggering in place, his arms wrapped around my smaller and frail form, I wrapped my arms back around him shakily.
I felt myself melt, slightly leaning against him as my ears laid flat and my tail swished behind me.
Maybe I could get used to this...
Thank you guys for getting us to almost 0.5 k!!! ❤️❤️❤️ Much luh!
