"hey taehyung!! look at this boy over hereㅡ"

namjoon shouts across the streets calling for his raven haired friend who was busy strolling arround the place with a blank face. he was usually cold and stoic. it was hard to understand what tae felt sometimes, overall a hard to read person in namjoon's opinion. still he had his part of fun.

joon pulled the said boy's chubby cheeks "omg you're so dirty and icky" namjoon commented grining at the small boy. ofcource he was just having his harmless teases with this cute human being that had bumped into him.

jungkook had tears in his doe eyes. its been a while since this unknown tall looking boy has been bullying him. "w-what? iam i ugly?" the boy's lips wobbled as he covered his chubby cheeks with his tiny hands, taehyung walks towards them with a bored look and his brows raised. almost irritated.

"what is it now namjoon?"

jungkook stared the ravenette who was wearing expensive gucci jeans and a simple red shirt, he had deep voice and dark sharp eyes. "well look at what I've found-" namjoon said with a unbothered tone, still pulling jungkook's cheeks because it was too puffy and soft. 

taehyung frowned as he observed the younger boy quitely. "what bout him?" tae asked looking back at joon. "he could be usefull to us. remember our project of writting a report?" namjoon said in a eerie tone. jungkook looked perplexed and scared "w-what!" he quitely muttered.

jungkook looked at taehyung with his big bambi eyes and wobbling lips, almost ready to breakout in tears. he has no idea who the two boys were and what they needed from him, he just came here to buy some bread for his family. as for taehyung, he chuckled slightly seeing the tiny boy all scared.

"and whats that in your hand ?" namjoon questioned pointing at the boy's palm that cluched onto a small rusty substance. "i-its m-my toy" jungkook quitely replied, his voice was so small.

"toy? let me see!" tae said, staring into jungkook's doe eyes intensily. the said boy whimpered and opened his fist showing a bright yellow yet very old rusty battery. "huh? but thats a battery. i doubt it even has its elements inside it anymore..." joon said, confused on how someone could play with that.

"how do you play with that? are you a kitten ?" taehyung asked still gazing expressionless into the boy's doe eyes that avoided making eye contacts with him.  taehyung coldly yanked kook's hands making the battery fly into the drain nearby "throw it away!" tae said grabing the boy's dusty palm. the boy had tears trailing from his bambi eyes as he gazed towards the ground. he was too weak to fight with the older boys.

"ew taehyung dont hold him!" namjoon whined. taehyung raised a brow at his friend "why not?" tae's deep and cold voice made namjoon scoff "his poor and poor people are dirty." he said.

taehyung looked at jungkook top to bottom. the said boy was wearing a long and old maroon t shirt which was pretty much torn arround most of its parts along with a dusty white shorts. he was bare foot, shiny light brown hair, his porceline pale skin was daped with dirt.

yet the ravenette had already observed the first thing about jungkook that caught his eyes which were his pretty doe eyes and soft voice.

jungkook felt uncomfortable when he got stared top to bottom by tae. it felt as if he stood naked infront of those dark predatory eyes.

"do you never bath or what?" namjoon asked in a loud tone making jungkook raise his head abruptly only to put it back down feeling embarrassed about himself. yeah, it was quite true that jungkook doesn't get to take a bath other than when there is a proper water supply in his area. he looked at his feets sadly feeling dissapointed at himself.

"damn who tf- is that poor these days.." namjoon felt his head go blank. taehyung kept staring at the quite boy, he even noticed him sniffling a tear or two.

"shut up" taehyung said, it wasn't clear whom taehyung told to shut up. was it jungkook's cries or namjoon's constant rambles that irritated him. however, taehyung picks up the boy, holding his hands.

"namjoon you can go back home if you want. i still have something to do" tae said. "dont tell me you're thinking to do something stupid tho?" joon asked narrowing his eyes. taehyung only gave him a cold stare which made namjoon internally feel void. he sometimes doubted if taehyung really hated him or something because he've never acted soft for him. being inseparable cousins , they've sticked together most of the time but tae always gave namjoon a cold shoulder.

taehyung didn't even have any friends besides namjoon and namjoon's one friend. he didn't have any person of his own to talk to if you ask joon. 

"fine.. I'll leave. anyway come home before auntie scolds you" namjoon waved, his dragon like eyes slightly shining "iam going to meet jin" he said later. tae noded.

as the other went away , taehyung swiftly focuses his gaze on the shaking boy who's hands he has been holding. "what did you say your name was?" tae asked, his sharp set of eyes making jungkook gulp. "jungkook" he responded.

"well jungkook what were you doing here?" tae asked, even if the younger's cheeks were slightly draped in dirt tae could see the pink hue forming over those cheeks. "did you play in mud ?" tae asked. jungkook shook his head "n-no its ...that i was helping my dad" he replied , a bit shyly. jungkook felt nervous under taehyung's gaze , it was such a odd thing for jungkook.

"helping?" tae asked. but jungkook only noded his head like a deer caught in redlights, doe eyes wide and pretty. taehyung chuckled "you look cute when you do that!" he said, not realising he had initially complimented someone.

jungkook blushes and looks away.

"i want to go buy bread for my little sister and mom. they might be hungry" jungkook said wanting taehyung to let go of his hands. "oh alright" tae said, blankly. still not letting go of jungkook.

jungkook turns and looks at taehyung "so if you let go of my hands..." jungkook tried to say which tae noded understandingly. "I'll come with you!" tae said. jungkook widens his eyes slightly , it wasnt a 'can i come with you?' or 'can i come too?' but instead it was a order 'I'll come with you!'

"y-you will?" jungkook asked, stuttering. "why?" he slowly asked. taehyung seemed not to know the answer otherwise. "i dont know.  just felt like..." tae said.

as the two boys walk in the side walk besides each other, taehyung holding the boy's soft yet dainty palm in his own, afraid he'll hold the boy's hands too tight. "your arms feel really fragile...no no you in complete are very fragile" taehyung said and then corrected himself. jungkook pouted "what do you mean... i dont like it when people call me skinny.." kook said.

taehyung didn't speak. he didn't know why he said that earlier. it's just taehyung likes to keep fragile stuffs protected and jungkook was fragile in his eyes. "whats your age?" tae slowly asked wanting to make a conversation and also jungkook looked really very young in his opinion. jungkook seemed to be in a thought at the question "maybe 11 or 12.. oh yeah I'll turn 12 this year" he said.

taehyung supressed a laugh "12? 11? you look 8." the ravenette teased only get a whine from jungkook "how old are you then!?" kook asked, his cheeks puffed up, they still walked in a slow pace, the grocery was just a few steps near by.

"iam turning 17 next week."

taehyung said. "thats mean you're 16 now hyung! your not that old yourself!" jungkook said, a tiny smile plastered over his lips. taehyung seemed to get lost in those bambi eyes and pretty smile.

"oh ! I'll go now! I've already reached the store" jungkook said quickly hurrying, letting go of taehyung's grip over him.

"you just cant show me a pretty smile like that and leave..." tae mumbled to himself looking at his palm that lost the warmth it felt before and then towards the store jungkook dissapeared into.

there was a odd feeling of flutters in tae's vague and emty life the moment he met jungkook. a racing heart

and expressive insides.
