late!

Right when I was about to get out to head to school, the cafe manager called. No- no, not right now!

It's okay Stella, answer the phone, be calm. I calmed myself down and answered the phone.

"Hello" the manager said

"Yes sir?" I replied politely

"One of the staff can not take their shift at the moment, come to the cafe as fast as you can, some really rich and famous guests have came. DO NOT BE LATE, we can't make them wait."

"But si-"

He ended the call before I could reply

It's okay stella, finish your shift as fast as possible, everything will be fine. The shift can't be that long, right?

I quickly hurried out of the apartment and literally ran to the cafe. Once I reached there, I entered through the back door, went to the 'staff only' room, changed into the waitress uniform and went where the important guests were, in the VIP private room. The manager was also there, which only meant that those guests were really important. The manager saw right when I entered and  quickly took me aside and told me what I had to do

"Thank god you came, I was so worried that we'd disappoint the guests. Well anyways, I'll explain later, now you go to them, behave your best and take their order in the most polite way you can. And, DO NOT make ANY mistakes, now go" he said hurriedly

"Yes sir"

I quickly went to the 'important guests' and bowed, and put on the most polite smile I could and said in my best voice,

"Hello sirs', I'll be your waitress for now. If you have already decided on what to order, please tell me. If you're not, you can take as much time as you please to order. Just ring this bell right here and I'll be here for you" I indicated to the little bell which was put in the middle of the table.

I still had the smile and patiently waited for their response.

"Two white chocolate raspberry cheesecakes please" one of them said.

"Anything else?"

"An expresso, and- a cup of 'Silver Moonlight Wild White Tea' please"

"Yes sure, your order will be served as fast as we possibly can, sirs"  I gave them a quick smile and walked out of the room.

Just as I left the room, my face got pale and I panicked. The tea they ordered was not available at the cafe  because no one ordered it as it was so expensive.

I quickly went to the manager and told him their order, he panicked as well. He hurriedly called someone and told them to bring that tea they had ordered.

He looked at me and said,

"The tea would take atleast 30 minutes to reach here. What should we do? We can't make them wait for that long." He worriedly said

"Sir, is there any other way the tea can be reached here?"

"No, wait yes, there is. There is another way but you have to go to my brother's cafe" he nervously said it

His brother also owned a cafe nearby but he hated the manager, I don't know why but I clearly knew the manager feared his brother alot.

I nodded and hurried to the cafe which the manager's brother owned. I got in, and fortunately the manager's brother was there. I told him the situation, but he was so rude and he said he needs "time to think about it" . I knew he was just making excuses. I begged him but he wouldn't budge. So at last I said okay fine, but I wasn't going to give up so soon.

"Forget about it, I want to order something from your cafe" I said

"What? No you can't" he replied

"I can and I will, sir"

Now he had no other option as I was a guest at his cafe.

I took a table and a waitress came to take my order, I ordered a cup of the Silver Moonlight Wild White Tea. 

Smart right!

They came and I paid and when there was no one looking, I poured the tea in an empty water bottle I had brought earlier.

I quickly paid and got out of the cafe.

I reached the cafe I worked in, and went inside to see the manager worriedly walking here and there. It had took me about 10 minutes.

***Time skipped***

By the time I finished my shift, it was already 7:40. Holy jesus, I was late at my first day of school.

It took me 2 minutes to finally reach the school, it was 7:45 when I got inside the classroom. It took me a few minutes to find the classroom.
