oh my god. i'm here. no backing out now.
i went to climb out of the jeep when a man came over and helped me.
"hello. my name is davide" he introduced himself. i heard the accent instantly.
"hey i'm nioma, nice to meet you!" i smiled at him.
"i think i caught a bit of an accent from you, where are you from?" i asked him.
"i'm italian" he replied.
"oh my grandparents are italian" i told him.
"do you speak it?" he asked, curiously.
"nah. the odd phrase here and there but probably nothing that makes any sense. i know all the swear words though" i laughed as we linked arms to head inside.
as we walked in davide spoke up catching the attention of all the islanders.
"hello everyone, did anyone order an italian snack" he shouted.
to be honest, i cringed. but i waved and smiled.
we headed over to the small fire pit where a couple of islanders were starting to stand up to welcome us.
"hello!" i smiled.
"nice to meet you i'm andrew" a man walked up to us shaking our hands.
"hi i'm nioma lovely to meet you all" i introduced myself to them all.
a blonde girl came up to me and hugged me.
"i'm tasha" we smiled at eachother.
"i'm liam" a young looking guy introduced himself.
"i'm luca" a guy with tattoos came up to me and hugged me. he was definitely my type.
"hi i'm gemma" a brunette girl shook my hand. "nice to meet you gemma" i smiled at her.
"hi i'm amber".
oof thankgod the first lot of introductions is over.
"thats mad when did yous walk over" a man who hadn't been introduced yet came over.
