Well we went shopping and now we are back at the house; packing. Well, I'm at my house packing. Eileen is at her house packing.
We ended up getting some colorful crop tops with long black slit shirts. We also got some new bathing suits. I was in desperate need of them. I lost like 10 pounds this school year doing a sport each season so none of my bathing suits fit me.
In the fall, I do swimming for a team in the next town. In the winter, I do track for my school. And in the spring, I do tennis for our country club. So really, I only do one sport for my school.
Eileen isn't really into sports, but she does swimming with me. Well, it's a swim AND dive team. She dives, I swim. I have tried to get her to do track with me but she won't budge.
So now I'm in my closet with my suitcase deciding what to bring. We are only going for a week so it shouldn't be much. My mom told Eileen and I to pack extra stuff to leave up there. So for whatever reason, if we need to go there for an emergency, we have clothes.
So instead of a simple bag that I could've packed, I was packing a huge suitcase. My mom had 2 suitcases so she lent me one. Before she got her job that she's with now, she used to travel all over the world so she had huge suitcases on airplanes with her.
So I had my duffel bag all packed with necessities to leave up there. Such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, hairbrush, tampons and pads, shampoo, conditioner, soap, and all that stuff. I also had some extra blankets in there because who knows; we are on the lake, it might get cold at night!
As I was putting my new bathing suits and clothes that we just bought into my suitcase, I heard a knock at my door.
"Andrea? Can I come in?" My mom asked.
"Totally!" I yelled to her since I was in my closet.
"What's up?" I asked her walking out of my closet to find her sitting on my bed.
"I just wanted to know if Eileen has told you anything about what happened...?"
"She did, but it's not my position to tell you. You need to ask her, not me."
"Andrea..."
"Mom... I value friendship. Eileen is my best friend; I don't want to lose her because I told you what happened."
"Duly noted. I understand."
"Are you already done packing?"
"I am. I'm used to packing fast."
"I'm still not done my suitcase. I'm done my duffel bag though."
"Well take your time. We don't leave until tomorrow morning. I'm actually heading out to run a few errands. Do you need anything?"
"Are you going to the game store?"
"Yes. What's a vacation home without video games and movies?"
I just laughed.
"Any preferences?" She asked taking a note pad and pen off my desk.
"Yeah. I want wifi up there!"
"There will be wifi. Don't worry! Now any actual game, game console, movie requests?"
"I wouldn't mind a wii up there with a few sports games such as wii-sports, wii-play, and wii-sports resort. Also mario-kart and wii-fitness."
"Okay so you want a wii with the basic games. Any movies?"
"Ouija, Crawlspace, The Best Man Holiday, The Fault In Our Stars, My Girl and My Girl 2, Aquamarine, The Last Song, both lion kings, and The Way, Way, Back."
