Lunch rolled around after 3rd period, providing you with some free time with friends. You didn't really do lines at this school, for some reason, so, you just strolled into the cafeteria. You were trying to find your friends in the crowd, when someone ran into you, nearly knocking you over. You heard the sound of something small and metal hitting the ground, as the person just attempted to balance themself.
A) You offered a hand to them, to help steady then.
B) you watched them stumble and fall, before offering them a hand up.
C) You watched them stumble and fall, and didn't offer any help.

The person brushed themself off, before picking up the fallen object, and apologizing. They dipped their head down, in what looked like a bow whilst doing so. They looked at the thing in there hand, and gave it to you, apologizing one more time for the trouble, and running off.

You just stood there kinda dazed, looking after them as they disappeared into the crowd. What the hell was that? You looked in your palm, identifying the 'gift'. It was a bracelet, with a small metal leaf charm. There was a small word engraved on the back. "Autumn."

You didn't understand why they gave you this, or why the were running off, but you shrugged it off. You got a pretty looking bracelet out of it.
A) You were a jewelry person, so this fit well for you. You slipped it on, smiling.
B) While you were a jewelry person, you weren't too big on bracelets. You still slipped it on though, as you had some weird fondness over it.
C) You didn't like jewelry, but this bracelet was too nice in a simple way to just pass up. You slipped it on, willing to make an exception.

You're thoughts were cut off, by the loud "HI Y/N!" From a familiar voice. You like up, and spot Frankie wheeling up to you, with Jackie flanking him, three trays in his arms. He looked a little agitated, but that was typical.

"What took you long! We were waiting for you! Jackie even saved you your favorite lunch item." Frankie asked, pointing back to their sibling, who huffed a little, looking away. You explained how some kid ran into you, which delayed you a bit. "Ooh, okay. Well c'mon! I don't want our food to get colder than it already is." Frankie explained, quickly going to lead to way back to the table area they saved.

Jackie followed slowly, and you kept pace with them. They glanced at you, and asked, "You okay?" You looked over at them, slightly confused, "Hm?" "Someone ran into you." They offered some elaboration, and you nodded. That satisfied them, and they looked back ahead.

You all sat down at the lunch table, and discussion started again. Nothing really different from breakfast really. However, when you were eating, the both of them noticed the bracelet on your wrist. "What's that?" Jackie inquired quietly, and Frankie followed it up with a similar question, "Yeah, what's with the bracelet? Don't think I've seen it before." She pointed out.
A) "Oh, the kid that bumped into me gave it to me. I guess it's just how they decided to make it up to me?"
B) You shrugged, you didn't know much about it yourself, "Dunno. Kid who ran into me gave me it."
C) You didn't say anything about it, just shrugged. You didn't feel like explaining the little you knew, not wanting to deal with questions you couldn't answer.

The both of them dropped it right after, in favor for another topic that Frankie had started thinking about. You were fine with that. Lunch continued on as normal.

/~Time Skip to: End of School Day~\

You heard the bell ring, and everyone started to pack up to leave. The teacher didn't protest, just wrapped their lesson up quickly, and wished everyone a good weekend. You grabbed your bag from under your desk, and went to walk out. You already saw Jackie outside, leaning on the wall next to your classroom door. They were waiting on you, apparently, cause once the caught sight of you, they pushed them self off the wall and walked over to you.

They said nothing, just waited for you to go ahead and find Frankie with them. This was different, they usually went straight to Frankie, and to you last. They literally never do this. You decided:
A) To ask about this sudden change in their schedule.
B) Not to ask about this change in their schedule.

A: "So, any particular reason you picked me up before Frankie?" You asked, looking at your intimidating buddy. They looked away, not saying anything. If you didn't know better, you'd think they were embarrassed. You heard them mutter something a few moments later, "Someone ran into you earlier. I'm here to make sure that doesn't happen again." Oh. They were worried? Strange, but, good strange.

B: You didn't wanna scare them off or something. You never knew with them, they were like a deer in nature, very quick to run off of provoked, and not prepared. Jackie seemed a little relieved by you not trying to look into things.

The walk to Frankie's class went by casually, and Frankie was pleased to see the both of you there. He rolled over to you too, quickly beginning to chat it up, as you all went back out to the buses.

Jackie pulled their attention away from the both of you, to locate their bus, and silently led the way there, which Frankie subconsciously followed, you besides them.

You all boarded the bus, Frankie quieting down temporarily so Jackie could strap her in, before getting back on the current topic of the books she'd been reading lately. You kinda spaced off while he was talking, your mind wandering to things to do when you got home. You were feeling a little tired, so, maybe you could take a nap when you got home? Your mom wouldn't be home till an hour after you got back anyways, it'd be a quick way to pass the time.

You came back to reality when you felt Jackie poking you. You glanced over, to see them about to wheel Frankie out, "It's our stop." They stared blankly, "C'mon." You huffed a bit, and grabbed your bag, and followed them out, rubbing your eyes a bit.

You could tell both their moods had soured as soon as you exited the busy Frankie was quiet, and Jackie looked even more downcast then normal. They didn't wanna go back home, but they didn't really have any other place to be, since your mom didn't like anyone being over before she was home.

You frowned a bit, walking over to hug to both of them. Jackie kinda tensed up, and Frankie drank the affection up.
A) "Stay safe you two. Make it till mom gets home, so we can all hang out, Kay?" You looked between the both of them, smiling sympathetically.
B) You stayed silent, letting your support be known through your touch. You knew they got the message.
C) "See you guys soon." You stated simply, not even addressing the issue, not wanting to bring it up in this temporary safe haven of theirs.

Frankie smiled, and hugged you back, while Jackie kinda leaned a bit into you, keeping their head down. This lasted a few seconds longer before you let go. You guys had to part ways. Jackie kept their head down, while Frankie waved goodbye, and the two of them walked away gloomily.

You frowned watching them leave, silently hoping it's not too bad when the get back. You didn't know the extent they had, you just knew it really affected them. You started to take a few steps towards your houses direction, before committing to heading back.

The walk didn't take to long, and there were no hitches on the way. You knew the way like the back of your hand. Once home, your exhaustion was at its peak, as you trudged to your room, kicking your shoes off before stepping into the living room. You dropped your bag as soon as you closed your bedroom door, and collapsed onto your bed. You didn't bother to take anything off, as you rolled into your covers.

Right when you fell asleep, you could feel the darkness surrounding you. It was heavy. Heavier than normal. Like you wouldn't wake up again. You must've been really tired. You could feel your wrist being rugged a bit, before you completely blanked.

How odd.

Welp. That's that. Anywhoozie. Drink water, shower, and have a nice sleep. Buh bye!)
