They say when they are many people in a room they end looking like numeral small balls, I just experienced that ,except these balls look like they can eat up my insides just by looking at me.
As I continue to walk through the room looking for a tight spot I can squeeze myself in, our eyes meet and just then there I feel like the whole room is silent and all the small balls just rolled away and it's just us. If this "eye lock" wasn't enough He goes ahead and smiles, that crooked smile that show his perfectly shaped teeth making me lose feeling in my legs and as I move forward to go sit next to him, She magically appears and takes my spot leaving me in awe leaving with me without a seat and worst of all Having to go trough the whole of assembly watching him talk to HER .great invitation to a crappy week.... RSVP if pLEASE ,thanks👍And as usual I'm left sitting in assembly, ALONE. I'm being abit melodramatic it's not always that I'm sitting alone, I'm occasionally sitting with Miranda who has been my friend since we were 2 years old, yes we date back that far.
It's First year of sixth form and we are surprisingly still friends despite our rather very different personalities.
But she called in sick today which I obviously know is a huge made up lie, she occasionally does it and I'm honestly surprised that the Teacher-In-Charge of students hasn't found out yet. I hate to admit but Miranda is a sneaky one, I could try it one day, but as I think about it the images of me being caught and immediately getting suspended rush to mind and I'm quick to clear away the thought.I'm called back to reality as the roar of the faulty ancient speakers is turned on, I still wonder when they will fix that.
Mr.Greenfield, comes forward to address us which is a bit peculiar since it's always the headmistress of the principal who addresses us. My horrible memory will be the death as I remember that on the fourth Monday of the school term all Year twelves have a meeting on the worst topic in my category, maybe the best topic for narcissistic girls like Victoria and her little cloud of airheaded patio plants, too far I know but it realy ticks me off how such smart girls roll over to follow Victoria Rim of all people her. Such a nice name wasted on an evil person.I'm called back to reality again by the Mr. Greenfield voice which is disappointing as looking at his creamish skin with greasy mop of hair and contradictorily good sense of suits for a man his age isn't the best view.
After a few minutes of non stop talking about how Year twelve is the foundation for a future, many of the lines I've got from my parents constantly. He falls onto the dreaded topic of..of..of PROM
I slump in my chair as the murmurs around me increase in volume like they are being controlled by some master DJ.
"Please keep silence in order to finish this before the second period", Mr. Greenfield says but to no avail this topic is exciting for everyone in the room, apart from me,that is.
"Shutup", he yells and his Scottish accent heavys on him.
Immediately the words leave his mouth, the room falls silent.Proud of himself he talks more about prom and I intentionally block my hearing to this just to let it not turnish my mood.
"Ring" The bell rings.
Thank the heavens.
