The smell of liquor was stronger than the perfume of all the teenage girls here. Those are the only two scents you could make out in this place.

Well, besides the slight smell of vomit that came from the overly drunken mortals that consumed more alcohol than they could handle.

My stance was stable and my vision wasn't fuzzy like all the intoxicated humans at this social gathering.

In all honesty, I didn't want to be here in the first place. He told me it was going to be a "small party" and that "nobody was even going to show up."

Why did I even agree to this?

I knew he was wrong. He knew he was wrong.

He's well-known in school and his parties are never teeny. The word gets out quicker than you think, and then the whole campus shows up.

Trust me when I say, I'm not even exaggerating.

I've been looking for him all night. Once the party started, he completely vanished.

Where the hell are you, Aiden?

There was no sign of the fair haired, blue-eyed boy.

I was searching from room to room, my viewpoint only came in contact with the things I wish I hadn't seen.

Every bedroom was occupied by an overly aroused couple or not even a couple. Just 2 persons who were needy for one another.

They could've at least locked the door.

I carried myself back down the staircase which was occupied by a couple of communicating teens.

I came in contact with the entryway to the backyard where the party was actually being held.

I feared facing all the pupil at the back of the house.

If the inside of the residence was mobbed, I couldn't even imagine how it was outback.

I inhaled deeply, prepared for what was to come behind this barrier.

You might think I'm over exaggerating, but I'm not.

Have you not seen Project X?

Aiden had convinced me to go watch it with him a couple of days after it came out in theaters.

I didn't know what to expect at these parties, but I swear to god if I see a topless girl in that pool, I'm going to lose it.

Once I reached for the door knob, the wooden barrier came flying open.

Along with the person's drink.

I gasped as I felt the chill of the icy liquid hit my body and soak itself into my blouse.

I felt myself heating up in embarrassment as I scanned around the room to see if anyone noticed the tragedy that just occurred.

My head shot up to the laughter that was coming from above me.

His guffaws echoed in the large room, causing strangers to search for the source of the loud bursts of laughter.

His eyes were closed shut, his head thrown back. His mouth was wide open that was spilling over with the sound of cackling. His face was turning a red shade and I thought he was almost going to pass out.

"Aiden!" I yelled at chuckling boy, who's laughter had finally died down.

"I told you not to wear that shirt," he lilted, observing my drenched shirt. "C'mon, let's go get you something to change into."

He nodded his head towards the stairwell where he led me to his bedroom, leaving the spilled mess all over the tiled floor.

Aiden and I have been friends since elementary school, and ever since then him and I have been inseparable. I basically live in this house.

Aiden had almost fallen twice on our journey up the stairs. That most likely explains why he spilled his drink on me.

He wasn't the kind of person who would drink very often, but when he would, he'd go overboard.

Once we were in front of his bedroom door, he stood staring at it as if he was trying to figure out it's secret.

He carefully reached for the doorknob and twisted it. He slowly opened it seeing that it was pitch black. He flicked the light switch on, brightness engulfing the 4 walled room.

He scanned it for any intruders, but there didn't seem to be any.

He wobbled over to his king sized bunk, where he flopped down onto the mattress.

"What time is it?"

I reached for my front-left pocket which was occupied by my cellphone.

"It's 12:43," I answered him, making my way over to his dresser that held all of his clothing.

I skimmed over the types of t-shirts in his drawers. He had solid colored t-shirts, some were v-necks and others weren't. He had shirts that were covered in band names, and a few tank tops with designs.

I went with a plain black t-shirt that was slightly over sized for me.

I looked over at Aiden to make sure his eyes weren't focused on me as I changed from my wet clothing into the non-soaked shirt.

His face was pressed into the mattress as the rest of his body was limp against the bed.

"Don't you have a party you need to get back to?" I asked him but already knew the answer.

He groaned, slowly sitting up and making his way over to the door. He turned back around to me with a confused expression, "Aren't you coming?"

"I think I'll just stay up here. I'm not really in the party mood," I responded while getting comfy in his bed and grabbing the remote for the TV.

Orange is the New Black or House of Cards?

He rolled his eyes at me, "You're never in the party mood."

Well, he wasn't wrong.

"Shut up, Aids!" I teased, knowing how irritated he got when I called him that.

"I told you not to call me that, Kadence," he shouted while shutting the wooden door and getting back to his social event.
