Wilbur's been in 6 foster homes.
None having lasted.
Wilbur could come off as slightly pessimistic and overall annoyed with everything at times. But the truth was,
If the world was going to hate Wilbur, then he'd hate it more.
Tommy was a boy who was born on Mars. He was 14 years old and when his mother boarded the aircraft for New L'manburg, she was pregnant.
She died giving birth to Tommy.
Tommy wished he knew more about her but Phil never spoke about her. He was only Tommy's caretaker after all. It's not like he would care.
Tommy really wanted to visit Earth, But not for the reasons you would think.
You see, Tommy wanted to meet his online friend, Wilbur, who lived on Earth.
Now, this was impossible. Tommy was born on Mars and he had a surgically implanted metal in his chest to monitor his internal organs. He could never survive on Earth. Oh, but how he desperately wanted to.
Wilbur had known a boy whose name was Tommy.
He lived in Essempi and they talked quite frequently. Wilbur would turn 18 in a little over a year and once he did, he was out of there as fast as he could run.
Tommy was strange, he always said weird things and always asked questions he should know the answers to. However, Wilbur didn't care. He grew quite fond of the boy over time. He would even go as far as to say that Tommy was the only person in the world he didn't despise so much.
When Phil had entered Tommy's door that night, he knew he was either in trouble or about to hear the best news of his life.
"Tommy." Phil began,
"Philza Minecraft." Tommy echoed.
Phil only smiled at this. "I got confirmation from Techno."
Tommy scoffed. "Confirmation for what? To punch that monotone fucker in the face? Because you know he deserves it and I'd tell that to his face." Tommy joked around.
"No, Tommy." Phil continued. "You can go to Earth."
That was the moment his life changed. The next 2 months consisted of continuous surgeries and physical exercise. Phil always said this was so he would survive on Earth but Tommy thought bullshit. He knew his health, it could take it.
The flight to Earth was long, 7 months to be exact.
The entire time Tommy could only think of how excited he was to meet Wilbur.
Tommy knew it was a stretch but he also hoped to see his mother's grave. They had shipped her back to L'manburg so she could be buried in her hometown and Tommy desperately wanted to see it.
When Tommy landed on Earth, he had one goal in mind: Go to Pogtopia and meet Wilbur.
It turns out, that Phil and Techno had other plans. They had run at least a thousand tests on Tommy and he didn't think he could take it anymore.
"Last one?" Tommy asked Techno as he gave the alien a shot filled with some kind of strange substance.
"Nope." Techno hadn't even tried to lie as Phil had. "About a dozen more to go."
Tommy groaned and threw his head back. "When can I go to Pogtopia."
"When you're stable enough to go," Techno assured him and ruffled his hair.
Tommy mocked him when he had left the room and cursed under his breath.
"Yeah right, I'll just sit around and waste my short life running tests." Tommy rolled his eyes and yanked all the cords off him. A loud beeping sound began to go off and Tommy made a dash for the window. He struggled to get it open for a few seconds before grabbing one of the beeping monitors and smashing a hole into the window. He used the monitor to clean around the edges before climbing out.
