"billie, are you okay? you've been zoned out for like ten minutes", drew asked as she turned over to her. "she's probably still daydreaming about devon", shane remarked as she looked over at alice. "wait, what happened yesterday?", dana asked as she leaned on the table, getting closer to billie. billie sighed as she put her hand through her hair. "well", she started, pausing for a moment as tina sat down next to bette. "we kissed in the bathroom and it was so good, but then she kinda just left. i haven't even been able to get her out of my head since yesterday", billie explained as she looked down at her rings.

"she left? like how? did she look happy or mad?", zoe asked. "wait, who are we talking?", tina said, looking around the group with her eyebrows furrowed. "billie and devon", bette raised her eyebrows as she looked at tina. "no, she looked upset and a little confused. i didn't mean to kiss her, it just happened", billie added. "you owe me ten bucks, shane", alice turned to her, holding her hands out. shane rolled her eyes and then pulled her wallet out, passing alice the ten.

"i really like her. do you guys think i ruined it?", billie asked as she placed her elbow on the table, leaning her face on her palm. "maybe not", bette said as she motioned towards the door, seeing devon walk in. devon walked closer to the table. "hey", she said faintly to everyone at the table. billie turned around as she heard devon's voice. "devon", she said, in cheerful tone. "hey devon", they all said at once. "sit with us", bette offered as she pointed at the empty chair next to billie. 

devon looked over at the chair and then billie. "sure", she said as she sat down. "so billie told us you're like a book nerd, you know she has her own book club. from what we heard, you should join", zoe said as she looked between the two girls. devon looked over a bil, with a slight smile. "that'd be super cool", she said. billie smiled as she looked at devon. "really? well, i could give you my number if you're really interested", billie said as she pulled out her phone. "i'm really interested", devon replied, smiling at her. 

"uhh, i should get going. i got to go to work", shane said as she looked at her watch. "me too, can you drop me off?", alice said to shane as the two stood up. "oh yeah and we have a doctors appointment", bette winked as she turned to tina and gently grabbed her hand. "zo, wanna go thrifing?", drew asked zoe, which she replied in shaking her head and getting up. billie looked away from devon as they started to walk away. "you guys are so annoying", she told them. "bye, bil", shane winked as she walked out of the door. billie rolled her eyes and turned to devon. devon laughed as she looked that the others. 

"they're not slick", devon shook her head as she looked at the girl. "i know but i'm glad they left us alone", billie said as played with her rings. "i actually came to talk to you about yesterday", devon cleared her throat. "billie, i'm not um", she paused as she looked at her. "you're not what?", she asked the girl with her eyebrows furrowed. "yesterday i was drunk and confused", devon sighed as she turned her head away from billie. 

"what?", billie asked, turning her head to the direction that devon's head turned. "come on, that kiss was mutual and you were not that drunk. in fact, i don't even remember seeing you drink", billie added. devon looked at billie once more and then stood up. "i have to go, tim will be home soon and i want to make him lunch", devon smiled as she stood up. billie mentally rolled her eyes as devon mentioned tim. "well, i'm walking you out", billie said as she stood up with devon, walking her to the door. 

"well, at least hear me out. there's a rave tomorrow night and i think you should come. it would be really fun", billie said as the girl's stepped outside. "i'll think about it", devon said as she opened her car door. "please come, it will be fun, i promise", billie smiled as stood by her car. "okay", devon nodded as she looked at billie as she began to walk closer to the door. devon shook her head and sat down in the car. billie closed the door for her, winking before she moved further from the car. devon started the car and began to drive away, still feeling the presence of billie watching her leave.

throughout the whole car ride, devon could only think about billie. she lied, of course the kiss meant something but she felt horrible about doing it because she had tim. in order to make herself feel better, she kept saying it meant nothing and she was drunk. devon sighed as she took a glass of wine out of the wine fridge near the cabinets. she also grabbed a glass from the counter and poured some into the glass. devon placed the thin glass on her lips and moved across the dining room, setting another glass across the table. she poured wine into the other glass and sat down.

devon twirled the rest of her wine in the glass as she stared across from her at the empty table. she sighed once more, looking at the time on her phone. she turned her head as she heard the door open. a smile quickly formed on her face as she stood up, walking into the living room. "hi baby, i made you lunch slash dinner", she said as she kissed his cheek. "thank you, beautiful. i'm sorry i'm late, the assistant couch needed to schedule a meeting with me", tim informed her as they both walked into the kitchen. 

devon sat down across from tim, pouring her more wine. she picked up her fork and picked up a few pieces of food. "did you have a good day?", tim asked as he stuffed a fork of food in his mouth. devon smiled as she looked over at him, nodding her head. "i did a little writing and then i went down to the plant", she said. "that's good, baby", tim spoke in between bites. "you know, while i was there, the girls invited me to a rave tomorrow. i don't really know, though", devon said as she looked up at tim. 

"great! you should go, make some friends and have fun. plus i work late tomorrow so it could give you something to do", tim smiled. devon nodded her head. "okay", she said, hoping tim would give her a reason to stay home.
