Dragons POV: as I walk onto the ship in feel as if I'm doing the right thing by not giveing him to my dad...I look at the flag, the red haired pirates...I never liked them but- if anyone was to love and care for my kid the best it would be shanks- I finally find him as he shoots me a look of worry "are u sure u should give him to me dragon? I mean I don't even know how to take care of a kid!"
"I'm positive now swear to me u will never mention me to him, and that u will protect him with ur life and care for him with all your heart"
"I promise"
"H-here" I hand him Luffy "his name is Luffy...I have to go pls don't let my kid die shanks...I'm trusting you"
And like that- I left

Shanks POV: hes gone...well...I never break a promise... I look down at the baby in my arms..just by looking at him I felt happy- heh, this kid is gana be a great Pirate some day...

4 years later~

I was sitting in my room on my bed hugging Luffy who was crying "kiddo why are u crying"
"N-nightmare papa! I-it was scary! C-cause y-you left me alone! A-and u wouldn't wake up!" ~sigh~ "it's ok kid look I'm still here I didn't leave ya and I'm hugging you so chear up for me huh? I'll smile more if ya do~"
"Y-you will! Promise?"
I smiled as he removed his face from being shoved into my bare chest "yes I promise" he smiled as bright as the sun "shishishishi!" I only chuckle at his little laugh "alright kiddo let's sleep huh? It's still the middle of the night I think"- I look out the window on my door and realized it was sunrise... "actually....how about I show u something instead..." he looked at me confused, so I picked him up and set him down on my bed and went to find my shirt to put on once I found it I put it on and grabbed Luffy and put him on my shoulders as he quickly took my hat off the floor. I opened the door and walked to the railing of my ship and held onto luffys legs "look- out at sea! See the sunrise?" I said. He made a little gasping noise before stating "it's so pretty!" I laughed at his excitement I heard a groan probubly from one of my crew and that's when I panicked "shit shit shit shit shit!" "Boss? Why are u up? Aren't u usually asslep st-ill....who the kid...." I fucked up- I wasn't ready to have them meet the kid yet not till he was older but it looks like it's gana be sooner then I thought. "I would suggest walking the others up so I can just tell u all....I realize who I was talking to was yassop as he nodded and proceeded to wake everyone up as I walked over to the head of the ship to sit down at. I took Luffy off my shoulders and placed him on my lap facing me as I take my hat off him and put it on him, "go to sleep kid ur gana need it for the next trip" he nodded and smiled before hugging me with his little arms and snuggling into my chest again I rub his back with humming as the vibration and me hugging him helps him go to sleep. "So who is he boss? U never told me?" I look at them with a smile on my face before brightly saying, "my son!"
