Trapped?

Chapter 2

Aaliyah came and handed the requested book, Rose immediately thanked Aaliyah and quickly opened her book. She read chapters 1-4 until she reached chapter 5. She paid more attention in reading the said chapter.

As she read delicately she found what she needed, she whispered while reading, as not to disturb the other servants in the library.

Eventually, the words of Lily filled her head, “A prophecy will change if there are new events that will change the entire prophecy.” Many thoughts came doubting that she will be able to achieve her goal, but what was her goal?

Rose misses her beloved siblings and friends so quickly that she wants to go back in her reality! Rose really fills ashamed that wasn’t able to survive this unfamiliar world in a day, so she decided that she will find a way to get back!

Rose hopes that Lily will help her in this journey, at all costs. She stared at abyss mind running from all those ideas. She continued to stare until Aaliyah snapped her fingers near Rose’s ear.

Immediately Rose stopped staring and looked at Aaliyah, “What did you do that for?” she asked and Aaliyah replied to her question. “Well, my grace. You were staring at that book for a long time now, are you having trouble? I can always help.” Aaliyah shoot a genuine smile after replying to Rose’s question.

Rose blushed and said, “I think you have a misunderstanding, I have been having deep thoughts recently while reading the book.” She said the last part of the sentence a bit lower tone of her voice.

Aaliyah immediately did something without thinking, she said “Well, I believe that’s enough time for you to read and you should talk about your deep thoughts in private with me. It’s not good to bottle up your emotions, you know.”

Rose said in a sad voice, “Won’t that make you unprofessional? Last time I checked you aren’t allowed to interfere with the life of your masters,mistresses and their guests.”

Aaliyah chuckled, “In our job, we are supposed to make our masters and mistresses happy and not sad.” She paused for a second to think and then she continued, “Besides, I would rather be fired out of my job than not make a new friend feel better for themselves.”

Rose, smiled while looking at Aaliyah “Alright, where is this so called private place?”Aaliyah proudly replied with “Follow me!”. Aaliyah lead Rose to her room, existing the library.

Rose was confused, where was Aaliyah taking her? It better not be a dungeon! Rose thought. Surprisingly Aaliyah brought her to her room. The room was very neat, the walls were painted in a fine lavender color with detailed flowers to decorate the plain wall. Her bed was a amethyst Stuart, beside the bed was a desk with a bottle of ink along side a few blank papers. On the left side of the room was her closet, opened and filled with pretty and stylish outfits.

While looking at the outfits Rose was surprised, in her reality the average pay was $1,368 weekly. Rose assumed that is must be the same in this world, however it seems that her judgment must be wrong. She could not help but ask “Why do you have many clothes? I assumed that the weekly pay was at least 1000 or more.”

Aaliyah stared at her confusedly, “Huh? You don’t know? The average pay for a butler and maid is 11,050 Syno.” Rose once again, “Could you tell me more about the currency?”. Aaliyah looked at her and sighed, “Normally, people will know the currency when they are kinder-gardeners. It is strange to find people who don’t know the nation’s currency.”

Aaliyah paused to think, “However, this is for you. While reading the book you requested, having deep thought is quite the sight.”. She paused for a moment and continued, “How could your not know about the nation’s currency? It is a important thing that us citizens must know!”

Rose watched as Aaliyah ranted about her incompetence about basic information about Syno. About how it is made, it’s history and even it’s rarity.

Some how she even fell asleep! But Aaliyah woke her sleep and continued to lecture her.

Aaliyah’s POV:

Seriously, how did this woman manage to become a heir in the first place! Considering her excellency made a special announcement to the rebels regarding Rose, she must play a important role in the revolution against the royal corruption. Considering that she doesn’t know Syno and everything else, she must be a outsider of the dynasty.

Although I should be surprised, these things happen once a decade so no surprises here. However, it would be useful to let her know Syno to make her a decoy for the rebels, it could also give me a high rank in the revolution.

I just wonder, where should i start? the history and then the meanings?

Third POV:

Aaliyah continued to lecture Rose without noticing she has fallen asleep again, “Oh dear” Aaliyah sighed. As she finally noticed that Rose fell asleep, she thought ' Why am I assigned to even be her enamored2?’.  “Should I report this? Or should I bring the young lady to her room?” she wondered, and decided that she will bring the lady first then she will report. So in 3:00 pm in the afternoon, servants saw a fellow butler carrying a full grown female adult to their respective room. After doing so Aaliyah had requested a audience with Lady Sly. And they slept as the dawn and the night guided them to sleep.
