Choi Han didn't know what to do with himself.

In the haste of his liege to kick him out to his vacation, Choi Han had hardly had any time to process matters at all. That was surely Alberu's tactic in speeding matters along so swiftly. It was the best way to ensure that Choi Han had neither the time nor presence of mind to come up with an excuse to stay.

And now in the welcoming arms of a kingdom that he'd never been to before in his life, Choi Han was moved straight from the long distance teleportation to a luxury room prepared specifically for the honored guest of the Roan Kingdom within the very palace of the man he'd been charged to protect.

Choi Han felt that it was quite strange though. Despite the importance of his mission no one had made the slightest effort to introduce him to the king of the Endable Kingdom's only son, his highness Roksu Barrow.

They'd provided him with absolutely every comfort that he could imagine and no one even paused by his side for long enough for him to enquire about his charge.

Choi Han had a very accurate suspicion that Alberu had something to do with this.

Despite knowing how badly Alberu wished for him to rest, there was a restlessness inside of Choi Han that couldn't quite obey that particular command.

Which perhaps went a long way to explain why Alberu had to go to such drastic measures.

Choi Han was about ready to jump out of his meticulously prepared room's window in order to patrol the area for danger when there was a dainty knock knock at the door.

Choi Han steeled himself for what was to come. Whoever came in, no matter how persistent they were in pampering him, he would get information from them one way or another.

That was precisely why he was wearing such a grim and intimidating expression when Roksu opened the door, internally wincing at the sight.

'...he's way scarier than I imagined.' Roksu thought with the natural desire to back away from the ominous black clad swordsman glaring holes into him. Roksu even considered reworking his plans so that they didn't involve the terrifying punk. "I can come back later." Roksu said placatingly, having no desire to be at the center of the swordmaster's wrath.

Had Choi Han already learned what sort of bastard Cale Barrow was? That would certainly complicate matters if he had a prejudice against Roksu before negotiation had even begun. He'd need to adjust his plans in that case but it could still be doable.

It was Choi Han after all and a Choi Han who ought to be a bit less traumatized than the original novel depicted due to Roksu's various meddling.

It took a moment before Choi Han put it together.

Red hair, brown eyes, thin and pale with an unflappable and stoic expression. He hadn't waited for an invitation to enter and his clothes were made of the finest of fabrics.

Shit.

"Are you his highness Roksu Barrow?" Choi Han asked, his voice more menacing than normal due to the embarrassment building in his gut.

'...are you going to hit me if I say yes...?' Roksu thought, nodding his head rather than speaking as he felt quite like a mouse caught in a trap at the moment.

Choi Han kneeled. "My apologies, your highness." He said. "My name is Choi Han. I am a representative of the Roan Kingdom here to protect you."

"Ah... it's fine." Roksu said vaguely, instinctively feeling that this might be far more trouble than he bargained for. "You don't have to kneel." He said as well, waving him off and heading towards a seating area within the luxurious room to lounge on a couch.
