School was long and stressful like every other time I had gone. Though, when the bell finally dismissed us- I was glad. I had been planning on stopping at the store to get a Payday: a caramel and peanut candy bar.

My mother gave me some extra allowance this week, as she and father would be leaving for a business trip tomorrow. I was used to it, though, my sister hated having to look after me.

She was usually verbally abusive, calling me rude things. I tried to ignore it, but somethings can't be unheard. Any rude thing that leaves her mouth feels like razor blades cutting me, over and over again.

Shaking my head, I sighed. Best not to think of that at the moment. Mom left me some extra money for food and snacks.

It was around 8:30 when I left the store, just two hours ago I had been at school. I knew it was a rather long time, but I happened upon one of my friends; Benjamin.

"Did you hear? About the kids that went missing, that is" Ben asked. Pretty sure everyone knew by this point. Five kids had gone missing, people call the person behind it "The Grabber." You never see it happen, but it does.

I nodded, to be honest I was a little worried. Whether it be me or Benny who got grabbed next, I hoped it wouldn't be either one of us.

"Yeah...what about it?" I replied, not really wanting to talk about it. It was dark, and I'd honestly rather not have that on my mind while walking home.

"Look, I know you're stressed...but it's fine- it won't happen to us, alright? Besides you have big Benny here to protect you!" Ben said as he flexed his right arm.

He'd been working out lately to impress someone he has a crush on, he never did tell me who. I nodded, wondering where he was leading the conversation- when his father pulled up next to us. A blue pickup truck.

It had been pretty beaten from the 10 years they've had it. "Let's go boy, and Miles, be careful on the way home. I'd give you a lift but I need to go to work in 15 minutes" Mr. Simons said.

I understood, and I wouldn't mind walking either way...so long as The Grabber is nowhere nearby. Besides, it was rude to take advantage of their kindness.

Benny got in the truck and they said their goodbyes before driving away. I sat down for a minute, I needed a break. We'd been walking for an hour and a half, so I was pretty exhausted.

Opening my backpack I grabned a ham and cheese sandwich I bought. It was cold, but I liked it that way. Only...before I was even able to take a bite I seen a black van through the corner of my eye, slowly driving towards me.

Maybe it was just my imagination, but something felt seriously wrong. Whatever it was, I needed to leave. My house was only three blocks away, if I cut through yards- I should be home in eight minutes.

I quickly got up and sealed my sandwich back in the plastic bag it came in. Zipping my backpack up, I started walking away from the van. But as I walked, I could hear it getting closer and closer, faster and faster.

When it was next to me, the window rolled down. A man dressed in black, face painted white, with a black top hat smiled at me. I didn't know what to say, I was shocked in all honesty.

(As you can see, if you've read this before and got a notification; this and my other stories are being edited. How long it will take depends on circumstances. My estimate for the Grabber fanfic will most likely be a day or two - the Michael Myers fanfic will maybe be two to three days tops).
