La Missione

Chapter 02: "Decision"

"Beep... beep... beep..."

I woke up with the sound of my alarm. Its 4:45 am in the morning. I opened my eyes slowly as the darkness corrupted my eyes. I hold my hands up to searched for my phone but I felt somebody's licking my face. Haha. Luxe never misses waking up as my alarm goes on. I grabbed my phone from my side table here and I turned off my alarm. I wasn't planning to go for a run today really, as I am here in our house but I forgot to turn my alarm last night. So, I guess I'll go for a quick run as I am awake already

I waited for the time to hit 5:00 am to start preparing myself. I got up from my old bed and I opened the lights. Luxe lying on top of it. "Hey buddy, good morning!" I greeted him as I laydown back in front of him. I wonder who let him in here in my room last night. 

 "Did you miss mommy?" I ask him patting and rubbing the side of his side face. I missed him, I missed how this face brightens whenever we go outside or I'll arrive from work. "Sorry for leaving you here with your granny, love. Mommy's apartment wasn't good for you" I explain to him as if he'll gonna respond to me. He just give me a little waggy tail and quick belly rub. He's too cute as always. I give him a quick kiss on his head as I get up. 

"We're going outside, love. I'll take you for a run" I patted him as he sit up and wag his tail fast. He understand whenever I say the word "run", its our  habit back then. I smiled at how excited he is. Sweet little but not so little baby. 

Luxe, he is a 5-year-old Siberian husky. He's my buddy since I started my career. In every mission I'm in, he's with me. It's always me, Ada, and Luxe fighting together. He's a pure black-colored husky. But I left him her at home as I moved out. Mom's the one who's looking after him and I know she's doing her best to not be annoyed by Luxe. She isn't really a dog or a pet lover, but still I know mom loves Luxe.

I turn my back towards my bathroom here as I walk towards it. Its 5:15 am now and its okay, I don't feel I'll go to work today so I'll spend my day with Luxe and my mom. I opened my shower as I entered my old bathroom, I let the warm water touch down my body. Its relaxing. 

 I finished my shower and I stride out from my bathroom. I open my closet hoping that I somehow left some of my running outfit and luckily, I found a  one pair of block and white short and a sports bra. I grabbed it together with my other black jacket. 

I prepared myself. Luxe was just staring at me the whole time. He missed me too, I can sense it. I grab my phone as well as my pocket knife. Luxe wasn't wearing his collar, so I need to find it somewhere downstairs. I lead him out of my room as we go downstairs. The house was still quite, I know mom's still sleeping right now.

I found Luxe collar in his little house outside. I put it on his nick as I slowly opened the front gate. The sun starting peaking up as its 5: 35 am. Perfect view to calm your soul. Our house was nearby the beach, so we got a perfect view here. As much as how soothing the view, the cold morning breeze didn't fail to welcome me. But no matter how I like to sit and feel these moment, we must keep going before the house wakes up.

Luxe leads the way here, he knows where to go as our old route. Its going up the nearby hill above. The road was peaceful, the same old stores I grow up with were still standing and still making money. Its a nostalgic feeling, the childhood memories and all the stuffs. Its peaceful, so precious.

I heard my watch notification indicating I reached my target burn for this day. Quite a good timing as Luxe and I reached the top. The view here was way more better than down there. You can witness the magic. Purely out of magic. 

I sat down for a moment. Taking a deep breath in and out. The mission. I pushed the idea as quick as I can. I don't wanna think about it right now, just not now yet.
