AU where Evan/Vanoss is working as a barista and can also see the red strings of Fate

(Vanoss' POV)

I quickly walked into Starbucks (hehe) and went behind the counter. This was the second time that I had overslept and been late.

My boss, Tyler, was talking with my friend Craig. They had become really close since Craig and I had started working here. Suddenly, I spot a red string tied around Tyler's finger and it connected to Craig's finger. I smile and chuckle quietly. Yes, I have the power to see the red strings of Fate. They connect the fingers of other people's soul mates. At first, it freaked me out but I got used to it. It is sad to see a really happy and cute couple and then seeing that their strings aren't connected.

It also makes me happy when I see couple's strings connected because then I know that they will be together and will be happy together.

A steady flow of customers are coming today. Mostly white girls. Typical. I also see a lot of couples too. I was so busy at the counter I didn't realize a couple walk right up to the register.

"Uh, hello?" someone asks. I whip my head around to see the most beautiful man I've ever seen. He had beautiful blue eyes, wild brown hair, and slightly tanned skin. I look to the right of him and see what looks like his girlfriend. She was pretty enough, I would date her if I wasn't attracts to guys. Yep, that's right I'm gay.

"Babe, what would you like?" the man said. "Umm, I think I'll have a grande caramel frappe (idk what that is)."

"Is that all?" I ask in a polite tone. They both nod and go sit down holding hands. As I make the girls order I can't stop thinking about him. I glance over at them and see them looking into each other's eyes. It makes me roll my eyes a bit. I've never been in a relationship before, I guess it's just nerves or the fear of someone breaking my heart.

I make the girl's order and I come out to see them full on making out. Gross. Just get a room already. I walk over to their table and slightly drop the order on their table. "One grande caramel frappe."

They sit up and smile embarrassingly at me. "Thank you" the girl says in an embarrassed tone. As she was taking her cup, I noticed a red string tied around her finger. My eyes trailed it, expecting it to go to her boyfriend's finger. I mean, come on their perfect for each other. My eyes widen to see that their strings aren't connected. Confused, I trail my eyes to where her boyfriend's string connected. My eyes widen when I see that his string is connected to mine.

...oh no.

(Delirious' POV)

"Hey Babe, can we go to Starbucks? Please?" Mae asks me. Mae is my girlfriend. We've been dating about eight months and everyone has been saying we're perfect for each other, but these last few days have been different. I'm not as attracted to her as I used to be. When we kissed I felt no spark, nothing. I've been thinking of breaking things off. She'll be heartbroken but I just don't it to get too bad.

"Yeah, sure Mae" I say as I start walking to the door. She quickly follows me with her usually springy attitude. She always seemed to be happy and her happiness made everyone around her happy too. That's one of the reasons I had started dating her.

As we get out of my car there is the usual stream of people. I never really figured out why people like Starbucks that much. I've only been there a couple of times and all of those times I've gotten to the hot chocolate. Yeah, I know.

We had just recently moved to LA and this is the first time we've been to a Starbucks here. As we get inside, there's a huge line of white girl's. Typical.

It takes us a while to get to the counter but as we do, the first thing I notice is the barista. He's a couple inches shorter than me with beautiful black hair and perfectly tanned skin. If you wanted to know, I'm bisexual to that means I like girls and guys. I've met any attractive guys before but I don't know what made me so attracted to him. I quickly read his name card. Evan. That's a cute name. I almost didn't know Mae was ordering until she asked me if o wanted anything. I shook my head no.

After she orders, Mae takes my hand and leads me to a table for two. She smiled at me and I smiled back. She then leaned in for a kiss and I connected our lips. Again I felt no spark, but I still kept going.

We didn't stop until the barista came over with our drinks. We stopped almost immediately and smiled embarrassingly at him. He looked almost jealous. That made me confused. Was he jealous of me or Mae? He didn't even know us that well.

After Mae finished her drink and we started to walk out, I noticed the barista looking at me. I smiled slightly and waved at him. He blushed a dark red and quickly avoided my gaze. I smirk and chuckle a bit.

"Hey babe, we should go here a bit more" I say. Mae looks at me, smiling "sure, I would love to!"

I would like to know a bit more about Evan.

This isn't the best I know. I've had severe writers block and I might or might not make a second part to this one.
