Her misunderstanding

[ Jade ]

It's been a day since i killed Jackson and since my father killed Irina. The house has never been more peaceful. I was currently lying in bed with Enzo who was playing with strands of my hair, twirling them around his fingers.

"What now?" I asked with a sign, looking at the ceiling. "You wanna go on a date?" He asked, earning my full attention as i stared at him with raised eyebrows. "Like start over again? Be your girlfriend and stuff...again?"

He looked at me amused for some reason before saying, "I never said anything about becoming my girlfriend...again."

Oh. He didn't? "You didn't?"

He shook his head, still amused. "But, if you want to, i suppose we could work something out."

Dickhead.

I rolled my eyes at his "I suppose we could work something out" and was about to get out of the bed but a certain someone grabbed my head, stopping me in my actions.

"I was messing with you." He smirked, "Aren't we a little too old to be titled girlfriend and boyfriend?"

"Then marry me." I joked, chuckling but immediately stopped when i found a very serious Enzo looking at me. "What?"

"Okay." He smirked, getting out of bed.

Wait what?

"You know i was kidding, right?" I said nervously, scratching the back of my neck.

"Im not." He started, came to stand infront of me and held both of my hands. "You're the only woman i wish to spend the rest of my life with. Im in love with you, Jade. Ive always been."

Oh fuck.

"I love you."

Oh fuck fuck fuck fuck.

Wait.

Why am i cussing?

It's a good thing, right? You're in love with him too, Jade. Admit it, get married, have a couple of kids.

Forget the kids, you're still too young for kids. Admit it and Just get married.

"I love you too." I admitted, earning a full blown smile from him. "You do?"

I nodded, smiling back. He learned closer and captured my lips with his. We kissed for a few minutes before we were rudely interrupted by someone clearing his throat. Yes, my father.

"Aww-" he started, "You guys made up and made out." He sighed and smirked, "I was standing right outside this door, heard everything including the proposal."

He looked at Enzo, still smirking and asked. "When are you wife-ing her?"

Wife-ing.

"I can wife her right now if she wants." Enzo smirked, looking at me.

No, im not blushing. You are.

"You ain't getting married to my daughter in her room, without a ring. I want her wedding to be spectacular." My dad said in a serious tone.

"Yeah yeah of course." Enzo cleared his throat. I had to bite my cheeks to refrain from laughing at their interaction.

My dad smiled at us before leaving us alone. Enzo let out a heavy sigh and said, "Let's to buy you a ring."

So, we were serious about this wedding thing. Good to know. Good to know.

What i didn't realise was, Enzo here, already went downstairs while o was still on the bed, doubting the reality. "Coming?" He yelled from downstairs.

"Yes yes." I yelled back with a smile. This is not a fucking dream, Jade. It's really happening this is the reality.

Enzo stopped in front of a jewelry, got out of his seat and opened the door for me like a true gentleman; he specifically told me not get out of the car and let him do the honour.

And again, like the gentleman man that he is, he opened the door of the shop for me. I flashed him a smile before entering with him following behind, he soon caught up beside me though.

Several table of glass were displayed in front of our eyes, with absolutely beautiful rings. The woman behind the table looked at us and smiled. "Welcome, how can i help you guys?"

"Show her your best rings." Enzo said in a serious tone and shoved his hands in his pockets. "The best ones."

The lady nodded before removing a box of rings, they were gorgeous but only one of them caught my eye. It was a double ring and had a huge silver diamond in the middle.

"I like it." Enzo said, making me aware that he's looking at the same ring as i am. "It's pretty."

"Not as much as you are but sure baby." He smirked, making me shake my head in amusement while the lady watched our every move until she cleared her throat, making her presence known. "you'll take it?"

"Yeah." Enzo replied and handed her his card which she happily took. She gave Enzo the ring box which he opened. He took out the ring, "May i?" He asked for me to give him my hand and slid the ring on my finger.

"You guys are adorable." The lady commented, making me smile at her. Enzo however, just kept looking at me.

"Let's go. We have a wedding to plan." Enzo smirked, grabbing my hand, rushing me out of the shop. "Slow down." I said, trying to prevent both of us from falling and embarrassing ourselves. He slowed down his pace and flashed me one of his breathtaking smile, "I can't. I can't wait to make you mine and have you forever."
