There is a faint knock in the door. Sheena is inside her family's grandeur house, sleeping comfortably in her bed. She shifted position while hugging the pillow in the process.

"Hmmm," she mumbled unconsciously.

She was alone in her house. Of course, who would stay with her inside the house where the mere crime scene happened? She has nothing left with her, now. Not even a single relative has a single conscience to stay by Sheena's fragile side.

Even after what happened to her, no one seems to be good enough to offer her some shoulder to cry on. Except her bestfriend and boyfriend.

The knock in the door grew impatient. It began pounding fast and loud against the hard material of the door.

"Sheena," someone called, it was enough for Sheena to hear from inside. The stranger's voice was somewhat in pain and is breathing heavily and loudly. It's gasping for air.

Sheena awoked, lazily. She listened and heard the knock at the door.

"Sheena," the stranger called again and Sheena heard it. She rubbed her sleepy eyes, wondering who might this be. She got up from her messy bed and put on her slippers. She was wearing her violet, flower-designed pajama and her red t-shirt.

"I'm coming," she said with her hearts suddenly racing as a wave of nervousness came through her system. This is an early time for visitors as a sweat broke off Sheena's neck as she realize how unusual this is.

Sheena isn't the scary type but after her family's death, she became scared she might be the next. She started trembling with fear and is soaking wet with the sweat falling of her temple. She came downstairs, suddenly alert for a second and grabbed a knife in the kitchen upon going to the door.

"Who is that?" Sheena called, her ears active and waiting for a response. Her knife is in her hand ready to stab in case for emergency. Sheena felt cold ice sweeping through him but sweats are pouring down her face.

Sheena held the knife tightly for her hand is trembling above it, weak and at the verge of disarming the knife due to fear and nervousness. Lord, Sheena thought.

"It's me, Sheena," the stranger paused while Sheena listened as the stranger's voice grew familiar. The stranger breathed loudly, "It's me... your boyfriend," the stranger finished.

Sheena breathed with relief and settled down the knife and put it to the table in the living room. She wiped the sweat off her face with the back of her hand.

"I thought it was someone else," Sheena said, wondering what was her boyfriend doing in this very early of a morning. Precisely, as Sheena looked at the clock, 2 o'clock.

Her heart's beats decreasing its pace and the nervousness inside of her was wearing off but the adrenaline inside of her stayed.

As she walked back the door to open it. Her boyfriend requested, cannot wait any longer, "Please...open...door. I need help."

"Oh, okay, " Sheena said as she unlocked the door and opened it. Wondering, innocently, why her boyfriend sounded so hurt that he's gasping for air and he's somewhat in a short of breathing.

"Hi!" Sheena said merrily. Wanting to welcome her boyfriend, happily.

But the affection fell when she saw something unexpected. She choked all the air inside as her face gone pale. Her eyes widened and her mouth hanging open.

A sweating boyfriend faced her and he was breathing loudly, grimacing and writhing in pain. He was clutching the side of his ribs. Blood wetting his hands covering the wound. The blood had stained his blue shirt and is dripping to his shoes as he was leaning at the side of the door for support. By the look of it, you can infer that her boyfriend had lost many blood and should be brought to the hospital.

Sheena just noticed it and gasp while jumping in surprise.

"Oh my god, what happened to you?!" she asked, walking over to him and supporting him upon walking him to a chair. Sheena's hand began to tremble again.

"Please help me. The... police department is...," he paused, breathing came in short and desperate, "chasing me."

"What! The police department?" Sheena shouted, shocked as he saw her boyfriend took out a gun from his back.
