Another Story||Nic and Conrad

"I love Conrad, we're finally working through the issues and i'm hoping it can work again" Nic suggests
"Conrad is a exceptional doctor but my observations suggest he struggles as a romantic am i correct?" Mina questions
"He has his demons but he's proving himself this time around and i think he's worth a second chance" Nic says proudly
"I wish i has your resilience...actually i'm perfectly fine the way i am" Mina says
they both laugh and walk back into Chastain after their break.
Nic and Mina separate and Nic heads to the elevator and find Conrad in it.
"Hi" Nic says to him
Conrad sighs and says "hey"
Nic wraps her arms around his neck and sees that something is bothering him
"Is everything okay?" Nic asks worryingly
"I lost a patient" Conrad replies softly
Nic moves further towards Conrad and adjusts her position to a hug,
She hugs him for a minute and steps back
"Who was it?" Nic asks softly
"Mr Chavez" he replied trying not to tear up
Mr Chavez was a patient of Conrad's waiting for a heart transplant but unfortunately couldn't wait long enough.
Conrad gets paged and goes to step out of the elevator but Nic grabs his arm
"Hey, take it easy" she says as she's visibly worried about him
he nods his head and walks out, Nic sighs and steps out of the elevator and heads to Pravesh
"Hey can you do something for me?" Nic asks
"Anything" Pravesh says as he orders more tests for his patient
"Keep an eye on Conrad for me?" Nic asks
"Mr Chavez?" Pravesh stops and asks
Nic nods, her pager goes off and she heads to her patients room.
