RaYa - What If?

2016.

Stormy night.
Raining like hell.

Mahendra Sood entered the house and shouted, "Why didn't you pay the EMI?"
To which Priya replied, "It was your turn."

He was drunk and said angrily, "I won't pay as I'm not in the mood. And you can't refuse as if the bakery stops working I can manage without it but you can't."

There was a constant back and forth between him and Priya and after a time he slapped her and left.

Priya was sobbing on her knees while the sisters were crying and trying to pacify Priya.

Meera was ashamed of herself.
The humiliation her daughters faced always made her tremble and yet she used to keep fast for that Man, hoping someday he'll be with them.
"I have failed my daughters in this regard, the emotional and physical abuse faced by Priya is just too much.
Why can't I get the courage to face that man. I should have done that at least for my daughters, had I shown enough courage, my Priya wouldn't have faced this much.
Till when she'll face this guy coz of me?
Just get the courage for once, Meera, and do it. Nothing can be worse than our current situation. Sandy, my youngest, will at least have a better life than my elder daughters."

She took all the things of MS in her house and took an auto to the police station.
"Stop thinking anymore, just stop over analysing and face whatever comes ahead. It's way too overdue now."

Namaste Khanna sir, she greeted the SHO of the police station.
"Welcome Meera ji, please be seated,"  replied Mr Khanna.

Mr Khanna knew about Meera.

Meera narrated everything and handed over all those things of MS along with the number plate and sought his help against MS.

Mr Khanna wrote a fir, he couldn't grasp what was this number plate about and suddenly the plate fell from the side of the table.

The numbers were visible to the Man sitting on the bench beside Khanna's desk.
He was none other than Ram Kapoor.
He was there to check if police got any lead. He used to come every 3 months to inquire and Khanna was 1 of the guy from the Department handling the case that time.

Ram - Khanna sir, this is my dad's car's number plate which was missing.

Khanna - Yeah, yeah, shit, that means...

Everything was jogged up to Ram and Meera about their respective things by Khanna.

Meera sought Ram's forgiveness and Ram made her believe that she doesn't need it as it was not her or her daughter's fault that MS was in their family.

MS was arrested which lead to Shashi's arrest..

Ram finally found some solace as his dad got Justice.

Priya and her sisters were happy that finally MS's chapter is closed.
Yet they were sad that he killed a guy and thankful for Ram for not judging them by their father's misdeeds.

Ram Kapoor, this name was stuck with Priya.

For the next 3 days, Priya searched everything about Ram Kapoor.
What made her astonished was his business capabilities.
She has never been impressed by a guy this much.

Ram's interviews, ted talks, his thought process on business in business magazines, etc all this impressed her way too much.
She was inspired by a Man after ages.

This inspiration resulted in upping her bakery goals and to get financially sound.

She got deeply invested in businesses and through his thoughts on them, she started writing paid blogs to which her being a Professor of English literature came in handy.

She and her family adopted her Nana's headname, Ms Priya Arora.

Priya Arora's blogs reached subscribers in millions. 1 of them was Ram Kapoor.

Her lengthy blogs on love, family, blood and relationships had impacted Ram's thought process deeply.

This line from her blog, 'Promises and Self', " Promises are meant to be fulfilled but not at the cost of one's heart coz the person u promised can never be happy if you are not" was stuck with him.
