The Millers

80 Years ago Charles Miller a wealthy Doctor made the decision too purchase a 15 bedroom Victorian Mansion. In beautiful Cape May New Jersey. As a vacation home for himself, his wife Julia 20 years his junior and his two daughters Isabel 16 and Josephine 12 .Charles had the thoughtful idea too treat his family with a get away from stressful city life.

In Manhattan New York Charles was a very well respected head of surgery working at his practice for over 30 years Charles was currently 50 he planed to takeover the small medical practice in cape may and begin a less stressful lifestyle.

Julia was overjoyed at his decision to move to cape may as she herself was from a very some town in Connecticut. She would never tell Charles for the fear of upsetting him but she had never grown accustom to the hustle and bustle of life in New York and yearned for a simpler life back home.

On the Contrary Julia and Charles eldest daughter Isabel was dissatisfied with his choice she wanted more then anything to return to her friends and life in Manhattan.

Whilst Isabel was the spitting image of Julia; with her Golden Blonde hair, Greenish hazel eyes and tan skin she was more like Charles then she was Julia; Straightforward, and practical she left nothing up to chance a control freak to say the least so as you can infer this change in residence left her feeling completely and utterly out of control.

The youngest of the family Josephine on the other hand was a mixture of both Charles and Julia's features she had light brown hair exactly like Charles and Julia's; greenish hazel eyes, with Charles Olive skin, and freckles.Josephine though she was only 12 at the time was a free spirt like Julia always outdoors always happy, bubbly, and outgoing.

She was less then practical and never thought anything through just as Julia did not. While Charles and Isabel would spend the morning reading the paper and drinking coffee side by side while discussing the latest foreign affairs Julia and Josephine would head out to explore the town and tend to Southern mansions greenery, which Julia took much pride in.

Julia would spend hour after hour day after day tending to the land around southern mansion and keeping its excessively large garden pristine as ever. She was rarely inside and typically followed by Josephine. Isabel was rarely home after the family's first week in cape may she quickly became friendly with some of the locals and spent her days by the beach with her new found friends.

This left Charles alone in the home just a he preferred it, Which seemed to be nothing out of the ordinary to his family it was his typical way to isolate himself from them and the outside world.

Will this hurt Julia she would never voice it always afraid to rattle him or make a wrong move so she simply continued to tend to the greeanary of southern mansion.

Julia had met Charles her senior year of college she was at the time 22 and Charles was a resident  at a local hospital she frequently visited to see her grandmother. She admired his intellect and need to say so little but so much at the same time he was a simple person in a less then simple city and reminded her of her home in Connecticut.

They were married one year later but what Charles didn't know is that Julia had planned to return home before she had met him her plan was to return to her family in Connecticut and open a flower shop with her new degree in business and what Charles would never know is that Julia often wondered what would have happened if she had never gone to that hospital, would she be happier?

Julia's bussiness degree was never put to use as her life took a very different path and she instead stayed home to raise Her two children whilst Charles pursued his medical ambitions.
