Welcome back, Steven!

Chapter 1

Steven was sitting on the bus to Beach City, looking through his bag of gifts from his past ten years on his road trip all over the country.
Steven had grown up big and strong to the adult age of twenty-seven, about the same size he was after training with Jasper.
The first gift was for Pearl, a picture of him for when he's not or no longer around.
The second gift for Amethyst, her very own cellphone and case.
Garnet, a pair of red and blue bead bracelets, each for Ruby and Sapphire.
For Peridot, a sheet of green alien stickers for her tablet.
For Lapis, a blue painting from an art museum gift shop.
Finally, for Bismuth, Steven had bought a fake gold chain necklace with a star on it and a suit for Bismuth to wear to possibly Steven's future wedding.
The train stopped, and Steven got off to head to his old house.
Steven came up to the front of the house and knocked on the door.
Pearl answered.
"Oh, hello Steven." said Steven's old friend.
Pearl looked up and then gasped at how tall Steven was.
Pearl had never expected Steven to come back and have grown so much.
"Hi to you too, Pearl!" said Steven. "Long time, no see!"
A crash sounded in the house.
"Where's Garnet and Amethyst?" Steven said as he stepped in two steps. "How are they?"
Suddenly, the warp pad lit up and four gems appeared, including Garnet and Amethyst, plus two gems Steven didn't know.
One was a ruby with a gem on her right palm wearing a dress, and a sapphire with a gem on her left palm wearing a outfit similar to the ruby of Garnet's fusion.
The sapphire ran at Steven followed by the ruby, the sapphire knocking him over.
"Hey!" said the blue gem."Are you the Steven I predicted would come here?"
"Uh, yeah."
Steven then realized something.
"Garnet, Amethyst, who are these gems?" Steven asked.
"Hey Steve-o, good to have ya back." Said Amethyst as she picked up the sapphire by the collar. "These are actually Garnet's children, or rather gemlings-Gems are able to reproduce now."
"Oh."
"That's not the only thing that's changed."Pearl said as she rubbed a silver ring on her right hand.
"Pearl!" Said Steven in surprise. "You're married?"
"Yes."
"To who? Is it a human or gem?"
"It's a gem." Pearl responded. "Bismuth."
"Really?" Steven said without surprise. "I didn't' know she liked you!"
"Speaking of Bismuth..." said Garnet. "Let's walk over to little homeworld."
"Alright!" Steven says as he walks out the door, then stops. "Do you know where Connie lives now?"
"Yeah." Amethyst said, sending the ruby and sapphire off to play. "Why?"
"Just wondering."
The gems and Steven arrived at little homeworld a couple minutes later and went to Bismuth's shop where she and Pearl's gemlings, Ammolite and the Pearl twins, were hanging out along with Lapis and Peridot.
"Steven!" Bismuth sort-of shouted. "You've grown!"
"Steven!" Said Peridot. "I invented a machine that can impregnate gems, humans, and hybrids like you to make a human-gem hybrid abomination!"
"Oh, hi Steven." Said Lapis.
"So...now that everyone's here," Steven said as he pulled out his bag. "I'm handing out gifts from my trip."
"First, Pearl." Steven placed her gift in her hand and handed out the rest of the gifts to all the Crystal Gems.
"Second, Amethyst."
"Third, Garnet."
"Fourth, Bismuth."
"Fifth, Peridot." Steven finished. "And last but not least-Lapis." Steven then finally gave Lapis her painting.
"Thank you, Steven!" the gems all said in unison.
"Now, where does Connie live?" Steven said. "I need to tell her something."
"Like what?" Amethyst asked suspiciously. "I'm asking-if she would marry me."
Garnet fell to the floor.
"Garnet!"
The leader of the Crystal Gems's body lit up as she infused into Ruby and Sapphire.
"Eeeee-STEVEN!!!" Ruby yelled in excitement."Me and Sapphire are gonna plan your wedding!"
Sapphire just smiled.
"That is, if she says yes." Steven explained to Ruby as he walked out the door. "Now come on, let's get in the car."
"I'll fly along with you." Said Lapis.
Me too. Said Peridot as she picked up a metal plate.
When they got to Connie's house, Steven pulled out a case containing the engagement ring and knocked on the door.
"Guys, can you go back to the house and wait?" Said Steven. "I need to do this alone."
The gems drove of quickly, just in time for Connie to answer the door.
"Steven!" Connie gasped. "I haven't seen you in ten years!"
"I know." Steven says as he opens the case containing the ring. "And I've been meaning to ask you..."
"Ask me what?"
"Constance Josephine Maheshwarden...will you marry me?"
"Oh, Steven, yes!" Connie exclaimed as she wrapped her arms around Steven and leaned back.
"Wait until my parents hear this!"
"Wait until my Dad hears this!" Steven said. "He'll have a heart attack!"
