Chapter 1 Forgotten the first

It's time. It's time for the first day of second grade! I don't know what to wear or what to bring or anything. What will I do? "Mom! Did you forget again!" Emma worried. "Forget about what sweetie? And you don't need to yell I'm right here". "Sorry mom." Emma pleaded for forgiveness. "It's ok just don't do it again, so what did I forget this time Emma?"
" You forgot my school supplies again and you promised I go to school today. It has already been a week and two days. I don't want to be home schooled and not meet any friends." Emma stated. "okay, Emma can you remind me tomorrow to go to the store before school?" Emma's mom said in disappointment.
" of course!" Emma shouted. "Emma! No yelling!" Emma's mom demanded
"Yes ma'am. Sorry" Emma pleaded. "It's ok now get ready for breakfast." Demanded Emma's mom. "Ok. What are you planning to cook mom?" Asked Emma. "Just eggs,bacon,and French toast." Emma's mom replied. "Ok." Emma said excitedly. As Emma washes her hands she imagine's what it might feel like to be in school and meet new friends. Emma rushes down stairs and sits gently at the table as she waited for her mom to serve the delicious looking food. "Here you go my darling Emma." Emma's mom said politely. "Thank you mom I can't wait to d'ivoire this mouth watering food." Emma nicely said. " I'm glad you are using the grammar words that I taught you. I hope you are as sweet as a cup cake when you grow up Emma." Emma's mom explained. "Thank you mom." Emma said "would you like to do the prayers before we eat?" Questioned Emma's mom. "Of course." Emma started " thank you for everything at this table, thank you for my mom, and if you can, would you please say hi to dad for me amen." Emma stated "amen." Emma's mom added. Emma and Emma's mom started to devour mouthwatering food. Ten minutes later their plates were shiny clean.
"Ok Emma let's head over to your aunts I have to go to work soon and you have not seen your cousins in a while why don't you hang out there?" Asked Emma's mom Linda. " that would be great! Can I please pretty please sleep over? I want to watch a movie with them and then fall asleep with the baby." Demanded Emma. " sweetie I would let you but I promised you that I take you to school tomorrow." Said Linda in a soft tone. " that's ok maybe during the week end we could." Stated Emma. " ok I can do that." Linda agreed. Linda and Emma both hoped in the car and started of to aunt Alisha's house for a day. Linda and Emma took a 30 minute drive. Finally, Linda and Emma both arrived at the house. " I will miss you. Also don't forget to behave yourself. I love you." Linda kissed Emma before she ran inside. " BYE!!!" Emma screamed over the engine. Has Linda left the driveway Emma knocked on the door three times. Her aunt answered the door. "Emma. It's so good to finally see you again." Alesha said excitedly. " you know Emma I think we should arrange a room for you to stay in sense your mom said that your were going to try to come over weekends. Why don't you come in? Act as if you were at home sweetie." Alesha stated. "Ok." Emma replied. Emma put her coat on the coat rack next to the door. She went up stairs and set her bag down in the guest bedroom. She looked around to see if any of her cosines were home. She did not see anyone but the baby. "Aunty? Where is everybody where did they all go?" Questioned Emma. "They are at school, but don't worry you can spend some time with me till they get back. They also get back at 3:00 o'clock." Replied Alesha. All Day Alesha and Emma watched movies together till it was time to pick up Emma's cousins. Emma and Alesha both got in the car are drove to edge water elementary school. As they stopped at the car loop they saw Lewis and Sofia waiting to be picked up by their mom Alesha." Hi Lewis. Hi Sofia." Alesha greeted. Come on I don't have all day to wait for you to just get in the car." Sofia and Lewis both got in the car. We darted to drive home. " are you guys gonna say hi to your cousin?" Asked Alesha. "Hi Emma." They both said. As the rest of the ride was silent Emma was imagining what it must feel like to go to a real school. Alesha parked her car in the garage and then closed the garage behind her way into the house. Lewis and Sofia went up stairs to their rooms and put their stuff down while Emma was following them. Sofia is five years old and she is in kindergarten. Lewis is eight years old and he's in third grade. Before Sofia could walk away then come back they were both already asleep. Emma headed down stairs. "I have no one to hang out with. Sofia and Lewis both fell asleep." Emma explains. "Here I know what you can do."
"What?" Questioned Emma "You can hold the baby and help me take care of her. Emma? Do you remember her name. I just want to see if you do." Stated Alesha. "Stephanie?" Emma answered. "Yeah! You got it right." Alesha said. Alesha starts to head up stairs then stops near the middle of the stairs. "Follow me if you would like to hold the baby." Explained Alesha. Emma followed her to Alesha's bedroom were the baby was. The babies crib was right next to her bed. The rest of the night they were taking care of the baby then Emma got too tired and walked to the guest bedroom to go sleep.
