Hajime POV

I ran through the streets Los Angeles horrified. Behind me was a man in a kimono who wouldn't stop screaming hope. His white hair was in a bun and his crazy greyish-blue eyes were looking at me widely as he screamed. I ended up in an alleyway with no way to escape. The man walked over to me with a wide grin on his face.

"What do you want?" I asked horrified as he got closer.

"I want you to be hopeful Hajime Hinata." The man answered. I screamed for help in English hoping that someone would help me.

When I came to the United States I hadn't expected such a horrifying thing to happen. I am Hajime Hinata, a Japanese college student who goes to Hopes Peak University. I study engineering. In my free time, I participate in the college's anime, video game, and manga club. We often put on productions and I'm the background actor.

My life was very simple and boring. I lived alone since my grandparents left their huge ancestral home to me. It is a traditional Japanese house so it's really big and the yard is large. Every day I would study, read manga, play video games, garden, and feed the local stray animals.

My favorite thing to do was watch my queen Chiaki Nanami. I would tune into her Twitch streams and watch her play games. She was the perfect big-boobed gamer girl. I donated a ton of money and had posters of her on my wall. We both went to Hopes Peak academy and she was the co-leader of the club.

She starred in every play and wooed the audience with her beauty and grace. I was always in the background of the plays watching her up close. I felt so lucky to be near my precious Chiaki. The only problem was we never spoke. I wasn't an important member of the club and was always too scared to approach her.

One day, she announced she was quitting her Twitch Career and going to America to study. I was so heartbroken, and everyone in our club was. That's until I came up with a brilliant plan. I would follow my gamer girl crush to America! I knew some English and had been there once.

I packed my bags and prepared to follow her to Los Angeles. We would still be together. Chiaki would need me to help her around the foreign country. I got off the plane at Los Angeles airport and began to sing.

I continued singing my song as I explored Los Angeles. During the night, I went to Chiaki's apartment complex to surprise her. She was still posting on her social media. Chiaki was outside alone. I made my way over to her. Suddenly a handsome man in a leather jacket came over to her. She smiled as he kissed her on the forehead and hugged her. My heart shattered into a million pieces. The gamer girl who I loved with all my heart, donated all my money to, and followed to Los Angeles had a boyfriend.

I ended up drinking alcoholic orange juice at a bar agitated. I was walking through the streets drunk when I saw a building with a giant cat on it. The cat was dark pink. Around me, stray cats headed to the building. Drunk and curious I headed to the building.

I saw that it was a bar attached.I walked around confused and bought a pass to go in. Inside there were cats everywhere, men and women dancing, and giant mascots of the cat and some bears. Confused I went to the bar and ordered a drink.

I began singing a Party in the USA. A dark-skinned woman in a cat outfit also began singing it. I looked at her confused.
