Saphire walked the hustling streets of the station, with a tiny, almost non-existent smile playing on her lips. Yes, she was excited but surely she couldn't show it, if she were to, people would have given her awkward stares. Hence she kept her excitement boiling inside her.
She tapped her foot on the ground, impatiently staring at the clock before Platform 9 3/4. 10:56 She couldn't wait any longer, she gave the clock an annoyed look.
On cue, the clock struck 11. She said a quick farewell to her mum, saying she would write back every Saturday. And she was off to a world of wonder.
The train's whistle blew catching everyone's attention. Saphire spotted a familiar flock of red hair. A burst of excitement exploded in her stomach.
"Saphire! Oh my god, I missed you so damn much!"
"Evans, Hi! I missed you too, and so did James."
"Shut up! " Lily said turning crimson exactly like her hair.
Lily and Saphire went on the train looking for a free compartment, chatting as they filled each other in on what they did during the summer.
"Hi, Evans" A familiar voice greeted the crimson-headed girl.
"James!"Saphire jumped up and embraced the mischief-maker.
"Jamsie, I missed you so much!" Sirius Black said suddenly appearing and leaning against the doorway.
"You were with me just two seconds ago, Sirius."
"Does that matter? No. Should I care? No. Should you let me talk to the ladies? Yes"
"Hey guys, what's going on?" a voice suddenly stated.
Saphire looked up, trying to recognize the voice; a familiar brunette stood in front of her with his usual charming smile playing on his lips. Remus Lupin.
"REMMY!!!"James and Sirius said, literally jumping onto Remus and pulling him into a huge, bone-crushing hug
"Hey Lily," He said waving at the girl
"Saphire" Remus stated looking straight into her eyes "Hi" he sighed
"Hi Remus" Saphire replied
"So." James said snapping Remus out of his thoughts "Mind if we sit here, Everywhere else is full."
"Ya sure"
" No thanks, we mind," Lily said in unison
Lily mouthed a 'what' to Saphire and then received a 'stop it' look from her.
"Ya guys, just pick your seats," Saphire said.
Sirius and James decided to sit next to Lily, who was just reading and gave them a disgusted look ad they sat next to her. Remus decided to sit next to Saphire.
"Pete will be joining us at the Hall, he's with.." Sirius paused before saying "Her"
"Ah, alright."
"So Saph, what you do all summer"
"Same old, same old" Saphire claimed "What about you James?"
"Merely nothing just learned how to tap dance"
"I simply cannot imagine James doing a tap dance" Remus confessed giving everyone a traumatized face.
The gangs' laughs echoed until they reached Hogwarts.
"We're finally at school!" Lily claimed, stepping into the Great Hall.
"No Lily" replied Saphire "We're home"
